Impact Aid Form - Parents/Guardians - Please Complete
Our schools are heavily impacted by federally connected students – those parents/guardians who work on federal property in Maryland, live on federal property in Maryland, and/or are active duty military personnel. Because of this impact, we receive federal grant funds to operate and maintain our schools and enrich school programs. To receive these funds, the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) requires us to survey each student to determine eligibility.
SMCPS is encouraging all parents/guardians to please take the time to access and complete the Impact Aid Survey Form online, located in the Home Access Center (HAC). Once logged in, directions to access the online form can be found HERE. A video with instructions is available HERE. The form can now be accessed in Spanish by clicking on the Globe in the top right-hand corner once the form has been started. The deadline for the online submission of Impact Aid Program Survey forms is November 14, 2023.
If you need assistance logging into HAC, please contact Mrs. Werkheiser at mkwerkheiser@smcps.org.

General Registration Information on AP Exam Testing:
This year, SMCPS will cover the cost of AP exams for all students interested in taking the assessments connected to their Advanced Placement coursework. Students will need to select their AP tests by October 31st. Please consult your AP teacher(s) if you are uncertain about taking the exam associated with their course(s).
Please make note of the following:
If you select to take an AP test and then change your mind after the October 31st deadline, please contact Dr. Vernetta Smith at vhsmith@smcps.org as soon as possible to have your test canceled. You may be required to pay a fee for test cancellation ($40).
If, after the October 31st deadline, you decide to take an AP exam for which you are not registered, you will be charged the late order fee ($40).
Failure to sit for an AP exam you have ordered on the original assessment date may result in a late testing fee ($40) if you wish to take the make-up exam.
If you do not sit for an AP exam you ordered, you will be required to repay that test's fee ($98 for regular exams, $146 for Capstone exams) and the unused/canceled exam fee ($40) to SMCPS.
