LISD HUMAN SEXUALITY PRESENTED BY LIFEGUARD
In Leander ISD, students in Grades 7–9 are taught Human Sexuality Curriculum through presentations by LifeGuard, an independent organization. The topics covered in this abstinence-based curriculum are found in the Texas Health TEKS. All content has been reviewed by the Leander ISD School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) and is grade-level specific and developmentally appropriate.
Running Brushy Middle School 7th & 8th graders must opt-in (see below) to participate in the LifeGuard presentations set to take place:

From the Clinic
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Please remember, when your child is sent home with fever, vomiting, diarrhea or other contagious illness, he/she needs to be free of symptoms for a 24-hour period without the use of medication before returning to school.
If the doctor prescribes your child antibiotics, he/she must be on the antibiotic for 24 hours before returning to school.
These guidelines are followed to prevent the spread of illness to other students.
