High School Diploma + Associate's Degree = Rattler Up
San Marcos CISD is proud to present the inaugural Early College High School (ECHS) Class of 2023! This program is comprised of SMHS students who have earned their Associate's Degree and high school diploma, simultaneously. The ECHS program still allows students to participate in extracurricular activities, obtain CTE certifications, take Advanced Placement courses, and even participate in clubs and organizations.
The SMCISD Communications department will be featuring graduates every week, leading up to graduation, via social media, our website and the Rattler Recap. If you see any of our ECHS grads, be sure to wish them a warm Rattler congratulations!

Texan Revolution
After learning about the American Revolution, our Travis Elementary 1st graders performed a skit where they put their newly gained knowledge into action. Our Texans revolted against Principal Masini, who served as the king, and his $5 recess tax. After the king wouldn't listen to their grievances, the 1st graders used silly string to gain their independence from the king.
