October 16-20 2023
Principal's Message
Dear Bobcat Families,
Last week was National Week of the School Administrator. Thanks to staff and Bobcat families who made Mr. Lamp and I feel special and appreciated. Thank you for the cards, Starbucks, delicious treats and other tokens of appreciation!
Thank you so much for supporting our Step-it-Up Fundraiser. The last day to turn in donations is this Wednesday. So far we have raised almost $26,00 in profit for our school. We appreciate all donations.
Students and staff will participate in the California Great Shakeout Drill this Thursday, October 19th at 9:30 am. This is a statewide drill where people practice earthquake preparedness with a duck and cover drill and evacuation practice. Our school office will be closed during this drill so that everyone can participate. The office will reopen at the conclusion of the drill at approximately 10:00 a.m.
In other news, thank you to all parents who are helping us in our efforts to teach our students to be respectful and kind while waiting for after school pick up. Your partnership in these efforts is greatly appreciated. Our local businesses also are appreciative of your efforts and partnership. Parents, when picking up your student in the surrounding community (parks, local businesses, etc.) please follow all traffic safety laws and please avoid double parking or parking on private property or in disabled parking without an appropriate placard.
Lastly, I would like to thank parents who joined the Coffee with the Principal meeting in person or via Zoom last week. The topic was our school and Additional Targeted Support and Improvement (ATSI). Parents who attended were able to receive important information regarding what is ATSI, how our school qualified and what the exit criteria is. In addition, meeting attendees received information on the ATSI task force and how our school community of teachers, administration and parents can help to assist our school in these efforts.
