Dear Columbia Crest Rainier Families,

May is here! We are on the home stretch and what a year it has been. We have been challenged in ways we never dreamed possible. The best way to deal with the struggle is to continue to be optimistic. That being said, I want to share with you some of the things that typically happen in May that prepare us for the next school year.

First of all let us focus on the Associated Student Body, our kids. We are planning for elections of our Student Council. These elections give students the opportunity to be leaders and to plan activities that make our school a great place to be. Current 5th, 6th and 7th graders will be involved.

Secondly we look forward to students being back in the normal learning mode from the beginning of school. To prepare for that we will hold our annual copy paper drive. Students who donate will be entered into drawings and the class that brings the most will be rewarded. We have collected prizes we think the kids will like.

And Thirdly, our 8th graders will be in contact with the high school as they get ready to transition to their status of being Eatonville Cruisers. The high school guidance counselor will be on campus this month to discuss high school schedules for fall 2021 with our 8th grade students.

Class Picture Day is on Tuesday, May 11th. You may order online or by sending a check for $11.87. Picture Day envelopes were sent home.

Middle School Group B parents are asked to drive their child to school at the following times to be in the class picture:

• 11:30 6th Grade
• 11:45 7th Grade
• 12:00 8th Grade

8th Grade students will stay on campus for their 8th grade promotion photo shoot that afternoon.

This offering is for students exiting the 8th grade through high school juniors The Pierce County Skills Center is offering FREE In-Person and Online classes this summer during two sessions. Each session will run for 14 days. Students will earn .5 semester high school credit with a passing grade.

Transportation will be available for Session I only and will leave from the front of EHS at 6:40am.

In preparation for the 2021-2022 school year, Eatonville School District is accepting "Choice Transfer" and regular enrollment applications for Preschool-Twelfth grades.

The first day of school is Monday, September 13th, 2021 for Preschool and Kindergarten.

• All “Grab and Go” meals must be pre-ordered.
  

• The pre-order form is due by Friday at 10am each week.

• Meals need to be picked up on Tuesdays from 12:00-1:00pm

• Please be aware:

• Please complete this meal form if you choose to pick up weekly meal bundles for your child who is not in school five days a week.

• Only one form per family is necessary.

• Only order the number of meals needed for the days your child is not attending school in-person.

• Children 1-18 years old and Special Education students 1-21 years old are eligible.

• Parents will pick up their pre-ordered meals on Tuesdays from 12:00-1:00.

Fall 2021 Kindergarten registration begins on Monday, March 15th. Please make sure you have the necessary paperwork with you to complete the registration process.

When you register, please bring your student's:

📌Proof of Residency

If your student is experiencing symptoms consistent with Covid-19 he/she must remain out of district buildings and activities for 10 days and 24 hours past symptoms and fever. If you choose to have your student tested, they test negative and provide the school with a copy of test results, they would be cleared to return 24 hours after symptoms resolve. If there has been a positive Covid exposure they must remain out for 14 days, regardless of test results.
