K-12 Family Resource Night
January 18th, 5:30-7:00pm
Parents! Adults! OCEAN staff is standing by to help support your work at home. Join us for an evening of K-8 Math support with MB, Koyuki, Judd and K-12 argumentative writing support with Daniel, Katie and Judd. Dinner and childcare is provided so we ask you to RSVP to MB by Monday January 9th so we can plan accordingly. RSVPat : marmstrong@ptschools.org. If you have already signed up with your conferencing teacher then you are all set and we will see you there. Thank you!
Assessment Week Jan 9-13
January 9-13, 2023 all OCEAN students in grades K-11 will be participating in district wide math and reading assessments. We use this data to measure student progress, provide individualized differentiation in class, and determine student groups for interventions. Data will be shared at family conferences. Look for an email from Katie or Lisa with your students assessment times.
Prospective Family Open House - January 9, 5pm
Do you know families that are interested in OCEAN K-12? We are having an Open House on January 9 at 5pm in the OCEAN classrooms. Interested families and students are invited to attend. We have a few spaces open for second semester at all grade levels.
OCEAN Highlights
Associated Study Body (ASB)
Our ASB held a successful bake sale.
K-5 Math Market
K-5 students held a math market where they sold items to classmates using classroom money and practicing their math skills with MB.
Student Newspaper
High school student Luca T. edits and publishes the Pearl, a student run OCEAN paper. The paper includes writing and art by OCEAN students.
