Questions
- How can we encourage our middle school/high school students go to the library more often?
As a parent, make a personal trip to the library to see what our libraries have to offer to our students. Parents can also encourage their children to read more. One of the suggestions discussed was to have students check out a book and make an assignment of what the book. In addition, there will be new programs added to the library for students to be part of at the library, but it is still on the works. - How are parents informed on an event or situation that occurs both in the district and on the campuses?
Information is shared on various platforms, as well as on district or campus social networks. Likewise, the district always sends information via email, messages or calls. That is why it is very important that parents be advised that they do not have the district number blocked so that they have access to receive any general or emergency information.
Comments
- Good information about gun safety. Parents must be more careful with weapons if we have them at home and be responsible for communicating with our children if they see one at home or in other people's homes.
- It is very important that parents check their children's backpacks before going to school to verify that they are not carrying something prohibited since for the privacy of the students, schools cannot search the backpacks without any reason to do so.
