Peterborough Elementary School
Principal's newsletter April 8, 2022
I hope this newsletter finds you well. I am thrilled that April is here! Spring time means warmer weather is approaching and the Red Sox season is upon us! Our students have been outside again, playing soccer, having lunch, and digging in dirt!
Spring also means that the ticks are out. We have spotted some on students and staff already. Please make sure to check your child each day.
Additionally, now that the spring trimester has started, our staff met in data teams to review student learning in reading and math. I am impressed with the level of discussion and responses to instruction to improve student learning. Please know that our staff know your children well and work collaboratively to meet their learning needs. If you have questions about how your children are doing, or how you can help them be successful, please reach out to your child's teacher or to me or Ms. Lee.
This week has been Library Appreciation Week, we are lucky to have Mrs. Murray at PES, and the students and staff let her know with flowers and cards. Thank you Mrs. Murray for all you do!
Have a nice weekend,
Larry Pimental
Paraprofessional Appreciation Day!
We Need Your Help!
We are planning to meet as a stakeholder group (families and community members) to review our current schoolwide plan, and we would like to ask you to be part of this discussion. We plan to have a few focus areas and would appreciate your participation and input. All the decisions we make together will help us to better plan how we use our Title I federal grant dollars more effectively.
I know we are all busy, and finding common time is a challenge, but your input is important to us. We are hoping to meet with parents/community members on Friday, April 22nd at 9:15AM in the PES cafeteria. I am hoping that you will consider joining us. Please RSVP me if you can and will attend.

In addition to teaching German, we would also like to promote awareness of German culture and traditions in our community. First 25 students accepted.
