Habit of the Month
Habit 2: Begin With the End in Mind - "Have a Plan!"
This month, our Middle Schoolers focused on Habit 2- Begin With the End in Mind. This habit focuses on setting goals and then making plans to accomplish those goals! Students at PCM Middle School have been working hard on this!
Laying out your clothes the night before school, setting things out for a sports practice, and even finishing up homework are all ways that students can practice Habit 2 at home!

Teacher Teams Update
Physical Environment Team
The Physical Environment team has been working hard to incorporate Leader in Me throughout our school. Recently, our students and staff all created a self-portraits. The Physical Environment team put all of the self-portraits together to spell out the word "LEADERS." It is hanging up in our cafeteria and looks amazing! Stay tuned for new projects centered around the 7 Habits and leadership coming very soon!
Social Emotional Team
The Social Emotional team has been working hard towards their goal of building trusting relationships. Staff has set a goal to build up relationships between staff and students and students with each other. This goal is important to help students feel physically and emotionally safe and let them know that there is someone at school to support them.
Academics Team
The Academic team has been focusing on goal setting and creating leadership portfolios! Stay tuned for what will be coming very, very soon!! This team is excited for students and staff to start setting goals for themselves and showcasing their leadership in their portfolios!
Attendance Team
The Attendance team has made a Wildly Important Goal (WIG) that we will have 90% attendance in each advisory every month. Each advisory with 90% attendance will get a reward after 2 weeks and another reward after 4 weeks. We truly believe that attendance is essential for student success. Our motto is, "Attendance Matters... You Matter!"
Student Leadership Team
Our Student Leadership Team has been working hard on collaborating together to bring new and fun ideas to our middle school! In October, we had a school-wide competition for Class Of The Year points. In November, we had a fall-inspired door decorating contest for points as well. Stay tuned for their next big project for November and December focused on service and helping others!
