Rice University’s BioScience Research Collaborative offers state of the art meeting and event venues to our research community. Located at 6500 Main Street on the corner of University Boulevard, the BRC can meet your presentation and events needs with auditorium, classroom-style and general events venues. • Fully equipped for Audio Visual presentations
• Seating capacity of up to 287 people
• Invidual outlets located under every seat for easy laptop/tablet plug-in
• Requires reservation of the PreFunction Space (lobby) area as well

• PreFunction Space is typically set up for registration and/or refreshment tables

• This space does not have built-in Audio Visual
• A portable audio unit with a microphone can be requested for sound capability
  

• Fully equipped for Audio Visual presentations
• Seating capacity of up to 87 people
• Includes a small area outside the main entrance for registration and/or refreshments
  
• Outlets located within the table tops for easy laptop/tablet plug-in

• Typically used as a reception (capacity 400) or dining space (capacity 250), tables can be configured as requested

• Space has twenty 4'x8' magnetic and cork poster boards available that can be used for poster sessions

• This room has two built-in projection screens and projectors with in-room audio capability.

• Space also comes with 40 five-foot by thirty inch tables and 200+ chairs (if needed).

• Has laptop connectivity capabilities, along with two wall-mounted digital monitors
• Room can be configured according to needs
• Typically used as overflow seating for the Auditorium with a capacity of 40 people
• Capable of streaming a live video feed (wide shot) from the Auditorium

• Equipped for Audio Visual presentations as long as user provides laptop
• Seats up to 38 people in conference room configuration
• Tables can be configured to reception style for 100 people
• Adjacent kitchenette is available for caterer to set up and serve food

Once you have decided on a venue that you are interested in utilizing, please check our Venue Calendar for availability on the date that your event is projected to occur. If the venue is not shown as occupied, please download the BRC Reservation Request Form, fill it out and return it to us via email at brc-events@rice.edu. Please note, you should always check with the BRC Events Specialist about any date(s) to confirm availability prior to announcing your event.

Event venues are reserved on a first come, first served basis for BRC tenants. Guidelines for advance reservation of BRC venues are as follows:

• BRC Tenants: 1 year+
• Rice Depts/Groups: 6 months
• Outside Non-profits: 3 months
