At CSSE, our goal is to create balanced and successful communities of learners. Our classroom teachers and administration carefully work as a team to prepare class lists for the next school year using certain criteria. A well-balanced class allows the students and teachers to perform at their best. While most students can be successful in any classroom, parents wishing to provide additional input regarding their child may fill out information below and return it to the office by May 26, 2022 through the mail, or email to principal@steugeneschool.org with subject “Placement Input.” Please note that specific teacher requests are not accepted. All books are due back to the school library. If your student has any fines, lost book fees, etc, please have them bring payment to the library, or contact Mrs. Hattaway. Notices have been going out automatically all year via backpack or email, but a final reminder about outstanding books/balances will go out on the 16th. Replacement fees for lost books and fines will be billed through FACTS. To avoid a charge on your FACTS, please find and return lost books or send cash/check for amount due by Wednesday, May 18th. We are so happy that we were able to bring back Fine Arts Night this year! Our students are truly talented! From dances and recitations to instrumentalists and singing, our students gave their all. Our cupcake submissions were outstanding! Congratulations to all who got up in front of an audience to perform, and to those who baked, decorated, and helped with the evening!

Cupcake winners - Kate Kusel’s Cookie Monster cupcakes won Best Flavor & Best Overall, Celine Pham’s Pink Macaron cupcakes won Most Professional, Maddie de Keratry’s Rainbow cupcakes won Most Original, and Viv Schmidt & Amelia Metz's Pancake cupcakes won Best Presentation.

Yearbooks will be distributed to classroom teachers by May 24th. Books will stay in the classroom until yearbook signing on the 26th. If you did not pre-order a book, please contact Mrs. Hattaway by 8am on May 25th to be put on a waitlist for any extra copies. If copies are available, she will let you know, and have Mrs. Metz bill your FACTS account so your student will have a book in time for the signing.

Last Weekend to Sign Up for CSSE Basketball Skills Camp - Our school is hosting several summer basketball skills camps this June! Students going into grades 2-8 can sign up to get an introduction to basketball fundamentals or develop more advanced skills. Ms. Whitmire’s Summer Art Camp is Back! - Join us for a fun and creative week at Ms. Whitmire's Summer Art Camp in the art room at CSSE! There are still spots available to CSSE middle school students - the elementary class has a waitlist. Art Camp includes a wide variety of art activities as well as intermittent physical activities like outside time, games, and yoga! Students will need to bring lunch and a water bottle each day. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. Enrollment form and tuition payment are due Wednesday, June 29th. Payment can be made by cash or check made out to Kara Whitmire with Memo "Art Camp - [Student Name]" and dropped off in the school office or Venmo directly to @Kara-Lane-20.

Dads’ Club Scholarship One of the primary missions of the CSSE Dads' Club is to provide financial aid to families that have experienced the loss of a parent, enabling them to continue a Catholic Education at St. Eugene. Flynn O'Hara Uniform Fitting - It’s time to order new uniforms for the Fall! Flynn O’Hara will be on campus to help with uniform fittings and orders on June 6th. Sign up at their link to reserve your spot.

Time & Talent Requirements - Our Time and Talent program requires each family to contribute 30 hours of service to the school. Only 20 hours are needed for single parent families. Grandparents can earn hours for their children's families, however you must indicate which grandchild's family you are working for in each particular instance. Students may earn up to 10 hours of their family’s obligation, provided it is for an approved and qualifying volunteer opportunity.

Time and Talent hours must be logged through your FACTS Family Portal under Family Information, Service Hours. Deadline to submit hours for the 2021-22 school year is Friday, May 27, 2022. Logging hours is the responsibility of the family. If your family chooses not to donate the minimum service hours, a $10 fee is charged for each hour not completed. The charges will be uploaded into FACTS. Unpaid charges can affect final registration for the 2022-2023 school year.

Please check for your name or your student's name in the list for ushers, readers, greeters, altar servers, etc. If you have a scheduling conflict, please find a sub or contact the church office. The Eucharistic Revival in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City Join Archbishop Coakley, clergy and parishioners, children and other Church leaders as they process from Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School to The Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Oklahoma City. The procession is part of a nationwide Eucharistic Revival. Visit archokc.org/revival.
