Congratulations to Christian Attrill who won the Gayman Elementary Spelling Bee, and Natalie Geracimos, our runner-up! These hardworking students competed in a two and half hour spelling competition.

Congratulations to Joe Rossi, Gayman Boomerang Youth Recognition Award winner for the January character traits of Equality and Justice. We are so proud of you!

The February Boomerang Asset is Caring - Young person values service to others, in their family, school, or community. If you know a student who exemplifies this asset, please complete a nomination form by Wednesday, February 23rd and email it to Liz Meier, our student support counselor, at emeier@cbsd.org.

It's time to register for Kindergarten!

Once your child is registered, then tell us about your son/daughter! We invite you to complete our Kindergarten Welcome Survey found on our New Families Resources Page.

NOTE: Requests for morning or afternoon kindergarten are determined on a first come - first serve basis. Priority is also given to a request with a documented need by the parents' employers.

To ensure a safe and efficient arrival and dismissal, we ask that you follow these rules:

1. At dismissal, display your family's name on the "pick up placard".
2. Drive slowly and stay in your lane in the parking lot.
3. Stay in your car, as students enter and exit the vehicle.
4. For their safety, students should use the passenger side door only.

Thank you for your patience during arrival and dismissal.

Order your Gayman 2021-2022 yearbook with a few simple steps:

1. Go to www.treering.com/validate2.
2. Enter Gayman's Passcode: 10157566069198.
3. Orders are due by April 12th.

Parents and guardians are able to submit an absence request via the Parent Portal. When a student is absent from school, but the school did not receive communication from the parent or guardian, a text message and email will be sent.

All attendance questions can be directed to Christine Stevens, cstevens@cbsd.org, in the Gayman Office.

To volunteer or chaperone, your clearances must be up-to-date.

If your clearances are current, upload them into the App Garden - Volunteer Tracker. If your clearances have expired, or you need to begin the clearance process, click on the Required Documents for the directions.
