Here is a quick look at a few of the many events happening around the building this week:
- SFCP presents "Screenagers" movie in an "in person" viewing Wednesday March 8th at 7pm with a question and answer session to follow. You also have access to on demand viewing opportunities. - please consult the full anouncement below.
- Thursday, March 9th: No School for students, Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences 5:00 - 8:30 PM
- Friday, March 10th: No School for students, Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences 8:00 AM - Noon

Class of 2023 and Families: Class of 2023 and their families -- Please review the information regarding the remainder of the year, including graduation, senior events, deadlines, forms and live stream links, here. Please pay particular attention to the first deadline which is ONLY for those interested in being hypnotized at the Senior Assembly. The signed release form is due March 13th.
Power Up Project: CALLING ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT VOLUNTEERS - Need service hours? Interested in computers? Then The Power Up Project is for you! We are a student-run nonprofit that collects, refurbishes, and donates computers to underfunded youth centers. No experience necessary! Volunteers interested in helping us out can fill out the form here: https://forms.gle/beVKtMYwa1kdLoKx7.
This is an excellent opportunity for high schoolers to earn hands-on experience, give back to the community, and gain service hours! If you want to learn more about us, please visit our website at https://thepowerupproject.org.
Glasses for Guatemala: The Child Family is collecting old prescription eyeglasses and readers to be donated to Guatemala through the Orange Couch Foundation - ALL PRESCRIPTIONS ARE NEEDED!! Thank you for your help! Collection bins will be located at the Main Entrance and Athletic Entrance. Deadline is Friday, March 17th.
Color Guard Clinic: The Naperville North High School Winter Guard team is hosting an event for current 2nd - 8th graders! Their Little Lights clinic, hosted at NNHS on March 10th, is an opportunity for students to get information about the color guard activity, learn a short flag routine, and perform the routine at a local competition on March 12th at NNHS. NEST: The Naperville Environment and Sustainability Task (NEST) Force Youth Team is an organization working towards making Naperville a better place. The members of this team come from many different schools but with the common interest of making a difference - and we need your help. The voices of North's students, staff and parents are so important and we encourage you to use them and tell us how important environmental practices in schools are to you. We kindly ask you to share this short survey with the members of your school and community in efforts to make a difference. Here is the link.
SFCP: We are happy to offer a screening of the movie Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age. Hosted by SFCP, Screenagers is an award-winning film about the impact of the digital world on children. The film offers solutions on how we can help our kids find balance and navigate the digital world. This event has been changed to an on-demand format, allowing you to sign-up and view the movie from the comfort of your own home within a 2 week window (3/8 - 3/22). Youth Symposium: The Zeta Omicron Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., cordially invites students in grades 6 - 12 to our Annual Youth Symposium on March 11, 2023. Through our partnership with Heart Haven Outreach, students will be empowered through workshops to create solutions impacting their lives and peers. Themed topics include Mental Health, Self-Care, and Discovering Your Identity. Please see their flyer for complete details.
The symposium will occur from 9:30 am - 1:30 pm at 201 Canterbury Ln Suite C, Bolingbrook, IL 60440. There is no cost for the event, and students will receive a continental breakfast and lunch. Registration is required. Senior Celebration - Volunteers: CALLING ALL NNHS PARENTS - We need many, many volunteers to make Senior Celebration a success! You do NOT need to be a senior parents to help because this is such a fun event for all the see! Senior Celebraton - Photos: Please help us celebrate the Class of 2023! We need photos of your students for the Senior Celebration 'Memory Hallway' and 'Huskie Hallway' by Friday, March 24th.
- Memory Hallway needs:
- 3 printed photos of your student – baby, elementary school, and recent photo. Photos can be any size up to 4x6 and printed on any type of paper. Label back with the child's first and last name. A poster will be made for each student with their submitted photos.
- Printed fun group photos of kids in elementary thru 8th grade. Do not send in originals as these will not be returned. Photos can be printed on any type of paper and any size up to 4x6. Label back with feeder school name to help with sorting. Collages will be made with these photos for each of the feeder elementary and junior high schools.
- Submit photos in the bin marked “MEMORY HALLWAY” in the NNHS Main Entrance by MARCH 24, 2023.

Huskie Athletics: Calling all spring athletes! Registration is now open for Spring Sports. All students wishing to try-out/compete, must have a current physical on file in the Athletic Office and be registered on our NNHS Athletic Website 8 to 18 before starting.
