Principal's Message


Hello Springwater Students and Families,


Just over a week until we embark upon the 21-22 school year! The first day of school for 9th and 12th graders is Tuesday, September 7th at 7:35am. All grades will attend school on Wednesday, September 8th. Wednesday is a late start schedule: school begins at 8:35am.


Student schedules will be posted in Synergy (both ParentVue and StudentVue) no later than Friday, September 3rd. Bus schedule information will also be updated in Synergy sometime next week. We will notify you when this occurs. Thank you for your patience!


Thank you to all families who have updated their registration verification. If you have not completed the process yet, please see the section below for more information and a link to complete registration.


We had a wonderful time welcoming our incoming 9th graders this past week! Thank you to our ambassadors in grades 10-12 who led activities and supported our next generation of Titans! I am excited to have an amazing group of 9th graders joining our community.


For the latest information regarding Springwater's safety plan and protocols for the school year, please visit this helpful page on Gresham-Barlow's website. We are fortunate to be a small school -- with an entire student enrollment below 200. Two recent changes that have not made it to the website yet: students will have the option to eat lunch outside and masks will be required when students are participating in activities outside during the school day (unless they are eating). If you still have questions, please reach out to us by phone or email! We want to make sure each student and family feels comfortable returning to school this fall.

Online Registration

Parent Verification for the 2021-2022 School Year is now open!

Before the beginning of every school year, we request that parents/guardians review and/or update their family and student information.


Keeping your family's information up to date is crucial to receiving timely communication from Springwater Trail High School and Gresham-Barlow School District and ensures that you can be contacted in case of an emergency. This year all updates can be done online through your ParentVUE account.


After logging in to ParentVUE, click on the "Online Registration" tab in the top right-hand corner to start the verification process.

Health Assistant-CARE Room Attendant: Steph Gerards

We would like to welcome and introduce Step Gerards. She will be our Care Room/Health Assistant for the school year! We are excited to have her join the STHS community!

Collecting Cans & Bottles

The "Every Cent Counts" Scholarship was created in 2019. One $500 scholarship will be awarded to an STHS 2021 graduate (additional scholarships may be awarded depending on funds raised). The scholarship is funded through the recycling efforts of STHS students and our community.

Attention Fred Meyer Shoppers

Springwater Trail High School is enrolled in the Fred Meyer Community Rewards program! Please link your Fred Meyer rewards card with our nonprofit number MU443. Fred Meyers will donate a percentage of your purchases every quarter to our program. This will NOT affect your reward points or fuel points. Last quarter we received $96.49, every little bit helps. This program helps pay for transportation to allow our students to attend events in the community. Below is the link to sign up.

Report Cards Online

Parents, did you know you can access your student's progress reports and report cards online through ParentVue? To access the report card from your ParentVue account, just click on the 'report card' button on the left side. Paper report cards will be available by request only. If you have trouble logging into your ParentVue account or need to get it set up, please contact Koryna Herreid at 503-261-4600 or Herreid@gresham.k12.or.us.

Volunteering

Interested in Volunteering at STHS for the 20-21 school year?


1) Go to the district website at www.gresham.k12.or.us

2) Hover over “About Us” and click on “Volunteer Information”

3) In the left-hand menu, click on “Volunteer Application Form”

4) Fill out the online application

5) Record your volunteer badge number


Once completed, the approval process can take up to two weeks.

Springwater Attendance

If your son/daughter is struggling with distance learning for any reason, please reach out to your student's teacher or the office (503-261-4600) so we can help create a solution. Teachers are also tracking weekly participation and engagement. If you student receives a "NC" (Needs Contact), someone from our school will reach out to you. Please see additional attendance information in attachments below.

Electronic Flyers

Gresham-Barlow Distict has launched a new electronic flyer tool called “Peachjar.” This service allows us to “go green” and will ensure that every flier is delivered to each household. Peachjar will provide flyers directly to your computer, tablet or mobile device.


To view school-approved flyers, simply click the Peachjar button on your school’s website.
