Friday Update
Happy Friday Foster's Finest,
I hope this letter finds you well. For our students in grades K-3 the next round of MCAS assessment will begin. We are so proud of the effort that our students have been putting into their work. If you child is feeling stress, please feel free to contact either our Guidance Counselor Danielle Campbell or our Adjustment Counselor, Jaclyn Dugan to assist in supporting your child's needs.
I wanted to update you on the construction project. As of today, the project is in its final stages (construction of the retaining walls, planting of the replacement trees, and paving of the road) there has been a pause in the building of the wall due to some erosion at the top of the hill. The engineers have submitted a plan for review to address this issue and we hope to resume construction of the wall shortly.
I wanted to put a shout out to Mrs. Sinanan and her team, Caitlin Colley and Brooke Benoit, for their work in creating the 3rd Grade Math Escape Room night! It was a great event, and all of the teams were successful and escaped.
Also this week, the Hingham Public Schools Art Showcase took place at HHS. What a celebration of talent! A huge thank you to Mrs. McKeon and her colleagues across the district for their hard work in organizing this incredible event!
Finally, May the 4th is approaching. It is officially Star Wars day, Students are welcome to dress in their favorite Star Wars clothing, hair styles, etc. No lightsabers or blasters allowed please.
Just a friendly reminder that next Wednesday, May 3, is early dismissal at 11:30, for professional development. No lunch will be served.
Have a great weekend!
Mr. Scheufele

Hingham Public Schools District-Wide Art Showcase
Thank you to all the Foster School families who came out to the Hingham Public Schools Art Showcase last night! It was quite a celebration of all that Hingham's students learn in the visual arts. There was a lot of excitement with so many amazing pieces of art to be seen!
Also, a few parents were talking about art that their children create at home, and were interested in hearing that they could photograph and upload images to their child's Artsonia account from home. If you have any questions about that, or about accessing your child's Artsonia portfolio, please email me: cmckeon@hinghamschools.org
