All students in grades 2, 4, 6, and 8 will be participating in the CogAT (Cognitive Abilities Test) between November 4th and Nov. 20th. This is part of Trivium's Standardized Testing program that occurs each year and each grade level will be scheduling their exact dates.
This test is another tool that helps our teachers evaluate their student's abilities and academic placement. You will be receiving a letter along with a copy of the scores sometime in January.

Secondary students (Grades 7th-9th) will have final exam week December 16th-19th. 7-9th graders only will be dismissed and need to be picked up by 1:15.

I have spent the last 24 years at Plano Senior High School. The last 11 years in counseling. I am excited to join the Trivium Academy family to Engage, Examine, and Express the Trivium Academy beliefs.

Trivium Academy is unique. We are all connected by a shared aspiration: that all students have an educational experience that prepares them for success in college, in careers, and in life. Now more than ever, that experience must not only provide for the acquisition of rigorous academic content, but it must also be more intentional about fostering critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and other 21st century skills that our young people need to navigate this complex, rapidly changing world.

Beginning after the break, I will publish exciting topics that will be impacting both the students in lower and upper grades such as scholarship opportunities, programs to foster communication and inclusivity, college preparedness and much more.
