Peer Tutoring -- Other Disciplines Needed

Are you interested in supporting your peers as they learn Math, English, Science, or Band? Sign up to be part of the Masco Peer Tutoring program. Use the link below to fill out a peer tutor interest form. There is a separate form for each discipline (each group is managed by a different student), however, you can fill out more than one form. We will hold an informational meeting on Thursday, November 10th during Masco block in the Small Cafe. We will send a reminder as well!

I need a Tutor in World Language

As we begin to roll out our Peer Tutoring program, we are piloting a number of processes under the leadership of Guiliana Nazzaro. If you could use some help in World Language, please fill out this form. We will also be partnering directly with teachers to meet your needs as well.

PowerSchool Portal - End of Quarter

The Power School portal will open again no later than 4 PM, Tuesday, November 15, 2022. If you have specific questions about grades while the portal is closed, please reach out directly to your teachers. We will send out a reminder when the Portal is open and report cards are available.

Class of 2023 - SnowBall Tickets

Snow Ball tickets will be on sale until Monday, 11/21. Cost is $65 (checks only, payable to “Masco Class of 2023”). You can check your email for more details!

Yearbook Information

The 2023 Masconomet Yearbook is now on sale through the Jostens website. Please note that the misspelled "Chieftain" on the Jostens website was a typo on their part, and has nothing to do with the actual yearbook my class is producing. It has been removed by Jostens, sorry for any confusion this may have caused. The link to purchase a yearbook is below:

Because of the Veteran's Day holiday there was no Morning Update this week....but The Chieftain Chronicle has been updated with all sorts of new articles!

As a reminder, all students have a community service requirement for graduation. There are typically many opportunities during the weeks leading up to winter break to volunteer with different organizations. Please check out the community service website for further information regarding opportunities, hours required for each graduating class year, and the linked Google form for students to fill out and receive credit for hours completed.

If you are involved in an organization that has upcoming availability for student volunteers, we are always posting new opportunities for students on our website. In order to have your opportunity listed, please fill out the Google form.

Athletics

Congratulations

The Boys Soccer team (round of 16), Girls Soccer team (Round of 8), and Girls Volleyball team (Round of 8), ended their season this week, with hard fought contests against skilled opponents. I know each team had goals to make it to the finals but we are proud of your effort, commitment, and how well you represented Masconomet on the fields and court respectively. The Boys Cross-Country team ended their season with a top 10 finish in the Division 1C State Championships. The Girls Cross-Country finished 14th with a number of top-three finishes in individual races.


Our Varsity Cheerleaders (NEC champs) were competing in the Regionals today, check out their twitter page @MascoCheer for the final outcome.


The Field Hockey team is still on the hunt, making their way to the Final Four. Stay tuned for details.
