Harper's Embrace CPR Awareness Training
CPR Training Saves Lives! Harper's Embrace Lifesaver Program offers no-cost, CPR awareness classes for adults and teenagers to learn CPR skills and how to use an AET. Statistically, the more rapidly CPR is initiated, the greater the chance of survival. Did you know most cardiac and breathing emergencies occur in the home with family members present? This is why CPR Awareness Training is crucial, the life you save is most likely of a loved one. This class does not give you the CPR & First Aid certification. This class is for family and friends to learn CPR skills and how to use an AET without the full day training. Class is limited to 20 participants due to the number of mannequins available.

Family Specialist Spotlight
Analisa Barrera joined NEISD in 2001 as a Family Specialist at Jackson-Keller Elementary. Analisa's experience with the SA Metropolitan Health Department, KLRN Early Childhood Programs & Edgewood ISD incorporated her love for community service with her passion for parenting & education. Becoming a NEISD Family Specialist was an answered prayer. Regency Place Elementary has been her home for the past 11 years where her goal as a Family Specialist is ensuring that parents and families understand they are not alone on their parenting journey. Analisa provides a calendar filled with workshops tailored towards educating and empowering them as parents and helping them explore community resources. Analisa grew up in Pharr, Texas and came to San Antonio in 1990 to attend UTSA. She and her husband have three children – a 14 & 16 yr old in high school and a 19 yr. old attending Trinity University. Analisa is also a strong advocate for families facing Autism. As a parent of a child with Autism, her family has worked alongside community organizations that provide education/support to families of children with special needs for 13 years. “The challenges and celebrations of helping each unique child navigate through things such as early years, special education, social/friendship skills, and college preparation is challenging but rewarding." At Regency Place, support for ALL families is always present and opportunities for adult learning never end – in the castle, we learn, grow and rely on each other. "Being a Family Specialist is so much more than a job: it’s building relationships and being part of a bigger picture. When we empower parents, families and communities – we ensure a brighter future for all of our children!” Thank you Analisa for your continuous efforts for the Regency Place families and community!
