Pending Releases
Pending Releases: If you have requested a release, you will see it as “Pending Release” in your schedule. This is because all parents and guardians and students must sign a new Release form in order for the release to be approved. After it is signed by you, the parent, your counselor and Assistant Principal Aaron Johnson, only THEN will we change it to officially say “Release”. If you haven’t completed and turned in this form yet, you can find it in the student center. The deadline was September 15th. If you haven’t completed it yet, you still can, but just know that counselors will convert that “Pending Release” into a class if you don’t turn in your form.
Safety Updates
Parking at McKay
Students who drive to school and need a parking space will need to purchase a parking permit from our Bookkeeper. This parking permit will be required in every vehicle on campus. If a vehicle does not have a permit, a written warning will be issued and ticketing will begin after that. Students need to park on campus rather than in neighborhoods near campus. Neighbors have been encouraged to contact Salem PD if there is a car parked near their home. Vehicles may be ticketed and/or towed.
Student(s) Sick
Fall has arrived and we know that this will bring our cold and flu season. If your student is showing signs of illness (high temperature, stomach nausea, runny nose etc. …) please call the main office and excuse them from attending school on that day. Most classroom teachers have some way for students to remain connected via an online platform. Let's do what we can to take care of each other.
