GRHS Senior Scholarship Opportunities

New Scholarships Added:

TC Energy is offering scholarships of up to $5,000. Deadline May 3

There are 3 pots of money for:

STEM students (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) related to Energy
Indigenous Legacy
Trades (Enrolling in a qualified trades program (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, welding, pipe fitting and more)

National Farmers Farm Kids for College Scholarship Program Deadline Feb 20

(3) Scholarships $2,500, $1,500 and $1000 will be given away to students across the nation. For seniors majoring in an agricultural field. Download the application on the website or pick up a copy in the counseling office.

Blaze Credit Union (Formerly Spire Credit Union & Hiway Credit Union) is offering $50,000 in scholarship money to members and non members. Deadline March 31
Some scholarships are for credit union members only and some are for need based non members. Scholarship amounts are $2,500

THUNDERHAWK SCHOLARSHIPS: Deadline: Feb 20

THUNDERHAWK SCHOLARSHIPS: 40+ local scholarships are managed through GRHS for GRHS and ALC students. Scholarships include: Paul Bunyan Communications, Eagles, American Legion, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and many, many others. Students complete 1 application for all the scholarships they qualify for. Deadline: Feb 20

Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation (GRACF.org) Scholarships - Deadline: March 1

Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation (GRACF.org) Scholarship Application open until March 1.

ONE application for over 140 scholarships totaling $170k from local businesses, organizations and individuals.

Essentia Health- Future in Healthcare Scholarship Deadline Mar 1

$5,000 scholarship for Greater Itasca area students majoring in healthcare. Must have a 3.25 GPA or higher. Apply at GRACF.org. It is not part of the ONE application but once you log in, you will see Eligibility -Essentia Health - Future in Healthcare Scholarship just below the Universal Scholarship Application.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid

Families of seniors attending post secondary education for 2024/25 school year will need to fill out the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The form has changed and more students will qualify for aid than ever before! Apply now: FAFSA APPLICATION

Blandin Foundation Scholarship Deadline was extended to May 1st

Due to delays in processing of FAFSA, the Blandin Foundation Application deadline was extended from March 1st to MAY 1st. Be sure to do your FAFSA as soon as possible in order to have a FAFSA Submission Summary as soon as they are processed.
