Meet the 2023/24 SVE PTO Executive Board
Mission: Engage our community intentionally and inclusively
Aly Bennett | President
Hey SVE! I’m super excited about this upcoming year as your
newly elected president! I have four boys, ages 12 (PCMS), 10
(5th grade), 8 (3rd grade), and 5 (Kindergarten). Not only have my
kids been at SVE for 8 years, but I myself am also a graduate from
SVE! I am very much looking forward to meeting new families and
building on the relationships already established. I am most looking
forward to building on our awesome culture, getting families back
in the building through volunteering and new after school events,
and watching our amazing children grow into even more fabulous
humans! I am ALWAYS willing to hear feedback and making
positive changes! Feel free to call or text anytime on my
cell...303.906.2649!
Troy Hargrove | Vice President
Troy Hargrove is a parent of a second grader and he is excited to collaborate with all school stakeholders to strengthen Shenandoah Valley Elementary and reinforce that ‘You Belong Here’.
Karen Swindells | Treasurer
I am Karen Swindells, SVO Treasurer and mom to Will (5th grade) and Jack (2nd grade). This will be our sixth year at SVE. In addition to serving as treasurer, I am the chair for the annual Trivia Night and Online Auction, as well as the School Safety committee. I look forward to continuing to partner with the students, staff, and parents to make SVE a place to call home for everyone.
Matt Goldenberg | Assistant Treasurer
Hi I’m Matt Goldenberg and am excited to be your Assistant
Treasurer this year! My wife Lesley and I have a son Joey in 5th
grade and a daughter Rosie in 1st grade. I work for Pfizer, chair
the pancake breakfast, coach soccer and baseball, and love the
University of Michigan. I’m a former NYer and like the pizza better
there but the people better here. I can’t wait to meet you at an
upcoming SVE event.
Carla Eilering | Recording Secretary
This is my second year as part of the Shenandoah school community. We previously were living in LA. My husband Dave and I have a 3rd grader, Sam, and a 7th grader, Bea at Parkway Central Middle School. I have a degree in Film Studies from Webster University and have been a stay at home parent since my daughter was born. I am excited to get even more involved this year and get to know more people within the community. As a family we love to travel…Especially to all places Disney. And we love our Bernedoodle Watson.
Jeremy Price | Corresponding Secretary
I’m an overly proud parent of a second grader, Connor, and look forward to taking a more active role in his school and the Parkway community to help create the best experience possible for all of the students and families.
Jami Dolby | DEI Chairperson
I am a small business owner serving as a consultant and connector for nonprofit organizations and sports & entertainment professionals. I have served on boards in our region for over 20 years and currently serve as an appointed St. Louis County Commissioner chairing the LCRA Board. Volunteering is and has been a passion for a long time. I serve as a Lupus Ambassador and hold a lifetime membership as Girl Scout but I'm readjusting as a boy mom of a Scout and serve on several our regions non-profit boards. My husband, Jowcol and I have one son, Cole who has been in Shenandoah since Kindergarten and is now entering his final year as a Fifth Grader. When our family is not commuting from St. Louis and Kansas City we spend our free time traveling and trying new things often at the recommendation of Cole. As a parent who understands the benefits of playing an active role in their child's education, my goal in serving as the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Chair for our PTO is to make the parent engagement inclusive and accessible to all parents and be sure we provide a welcoming environment and an opportunity to learn more about what makes the Shenandoah Valley village so special. If you are interested in joining the DEI committee please reach out today.
