STUDENT SECTION
Semester 2 Parking Permits
Permits for Q3/Q4 (January 30 - June 7) are available for purchase now on MyPaymentsPlus. They are $120 for the semester.
Permits can be picked up in the EVHS Learning Commons during lunch periods on Thursday and Friday, January 26 and 27.
Parking permits are optional. There is free parking available for students in the lot near our tennis courts, south of EVHS.
Interested in Joining Eastview's National Honor Society for 2023-2024?
Current sophomores and current juniors are eligible to complete a Candidate Form. It is strongly encouraged that the eligible candidate have a cumulative 3.8 GPA or higher.
Optional informational meetings will be held on Wednesday, March 8 at 7:10 AM OR 2:30 PM in C232. Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to attend ONE of the meetings.

Need A Tutor?
Peer tutoring is available on Wednesdays in the Learning Commons after school! Math peer tutors will be available from 2:30-3:30. You can get support for math homework- bring your questions or assignments to work on with a peer tutor and/or small group.

Raising Cane's Fundraiser Night for EVHS Boys Basketball 1/11
We are excited to be having a fundraising event on January 11, 2023, from 4-9 pm at the Apple Valley Raising Cane’s (7501 150th Street, Apple Valley)!

Red Cross Blood Drive at Eastview on Friday, January 20
The greater Eastview community of parents, family members, and neighbors are invited to donate blood as part of the NHS-sponsored drive on Friday, January 20 from 7:00AM to 1:00PM in Eastview’s South Gym. Donation registration is completely online @ http://www.redcrossblood.org/give/drive/driveSearch.jsp Type “eastview” (our sponsor code), in the search box and the follow the online prompts. Need a Previous EVHS Yearbook?
The EVHS Library has an archive of yearbooks which are kept to chronicle our history. In addition, we have also received extra copies over the years that have not been picked up or used for other purposes. It is time to downsize these extra copies. Do you have a grad who didn’t get a yearbook or know a neighbor who would appreciate the memories? You can find a complete list of extra copies available here listed by year. If you would like to request one of these copies, please email evhs.learningcommons@apps.district196.org and we will set the copy aside for you to pick up. Feel free to share the link with anyone who may be interested. All books can be picked up at Eastview High School during school hours.

New: EVHS All-Night Senior Party Tickets On Sale Now!
Graduating seniors are invited to attend the 2023 All-Night Senior Party, a chemical free, lock-in which takes place the night of graduation, Saturday June 3rd, 2023 from 10:00 pm – 4:00am at EVHS.
Each year the All-Night Senior Party is a highlight for the graduating seniors with at least 80% of the class attending. This is an “Everything Included” night of fun! Entertainment, Food, Prizes, Games, Casino, and MORE! It is the place to be on graduation night! In early 2023, there will be a party kick-off event during the school day, where the theme of the party will be revealed to the senior class!

2023 EVCF Scholarship Application Is Open
EVCF will be awarding over 90 scholarships equaling close to $100,000 to seniors who live in the Eastview attendance area and will be graduating high school in the Spring of 2023.
You will find all the opportunities in the EVCF Scholarship Descriptions (click HERE). We have also included a filterable spreadsheet (click HERE) to help you determine which scholarships for which you are qualified to apply. Please read the directions carefully!

Interested in Architecture, Construction or Engineering?
The ACE Mentor Program of America is a free, award-winning, afterschool program designed to attract district high school students into pursuing careers in the Architecture, Construction, and Engineering industries, including skilled trades. The group will meet every other Thursday from 2:45 – 4:45 pm in Room E163 at Apple Valley High School. The next meeting will be December 15th. Please complete this FORM if you would like to join.

Upcoming College Visits
UPCOMING COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY VISITS
Students should stop by the Counseling Office and get a pass to attend the college/university/military Rep Visit prior to the right visit. These university/college or military visits are small group meetings typically lasting 20/30 minutes. These admission reps are often times the same people that review college applications, so it's a great connection for students.

Eastview JV Boys Hockey vs. the Park Wolfpack – January 5th, 2023
The recent weather cancelled the last two hockey games giving the Eastview JV Boys Hockey team a longer than expected winter break. The team was back on the ice as they took on the Park Wolfpack last night in Cottage Grove. Kaden Goff was in net and kept the game to a 0-0 tie until just before the end of the 2nd period making it 0-1, Wolfpack. In the 3rd period Eastview JV put in a good effort to tie up the game but the Wolfpack got an empty net goal to end the game at 0-2 Park. The Eastview JV Boys Hockey team will be back in action tomorrow (1/7/23) to take on Rosemount at the Apple Valley Sports Arena at noon. See you at the rink!
9TH GRADE SPORTS
9th Grade Wrestling Announcements
1/6/2023
The Eastview Lightning 9th Grade Wrestling Team competed in a double dual event against Park and Apple Valley at home on Tuesday December 20th, 2022.
The Lightning defeated Park by a score of 42-30. Earning falls for the Lightning were: Marcus McKinley and Nathan Repke. Several team points were claimed by forfeit.
Gavin Thiem, Tino Caffieri, Diego Caffieri, Kiernan Lee, and Vinny Petti also competed with valiant effort.
The Lightning were defeated by Apple Valley by a score of 67-12. Earning falls for the Lightning were: Aryan Karimnejad and Ryan Layeux. Aiden Frost also won an exhibition match by fall.
Tino Caffieri, Diego Caffieri, Matthew Wagner, Alex Herrera, Abdul Osman, Vinny Petti, Nathan Repke, and Killian Russel also competed with valiant effort.
The Eastview Lightning 9th Grade Wrestling Team dual record is 3-3 for the year.
New: Girls Golf Info Meeting
Interested in playing Girls Golf this spring? We take players at all skill levels. Join us for Captain’s Practices at The Cages on Sundays from 2-4. There will be a parent/player meeting on Thursday, Feb. 16th at 7:00 pm in the learning commons to learn more about Season Details. Check out our website at: EVGG Website.
