In just a few short weeks, Mrs. Jennifer Noone, our art teacher, will be welcoming her baby. We are so happy for her and her husband!

We are pleased to announce our new Art teacher, Mr. Cinciripini! Mr. C will be joining the Gayman family from late February until the end of the school year. Please join us in welcoming him! (Mr. C's welcome letter appears below.)

February 28th at 7:00PM is the Tohickon 6th Grade Middle School Orientation (for parents).

Thank you to everyone who signed up for the Blood Drive last week!

We had a REALLY fantastic turnout, and collected 45 lifesaving pints of blood on a goal of 33 pints. This is the most Gayman has collected since 2012!!

Here is a breakdown of the numbers:

1. 41 donors registered
2. 3 deferrals
3. 8 power red donations
4. 2 first time donors
5. 45 total blood donations

Thank you for your donation, and for ensuring a stable blood supply!

Throughout the month of February, Gayman students can aim to do at least 14 acts of kindness. These acts can be anything on the list (see below) or something they come up with on their own. Each act they do can be written down on a calendar (see below to print at home or stop by the main office for a copy) and then returned to school at the end of the month for a special token of appreciation for spreading kindness in the world.

We are excited to bring the iRun4Life program to Gayman (Thank you Lauren Lennon!). There are 7+ parents who volunteered to help coach this 8-week program. This is a fun, noncompetitive after school running program designed to get your kids exercising and eating healthy. iRun4Life focuses on running, healthy nutrition, and doing good deeds in our community.

• Who: 3rd - 6th Graders
• When: Every Wednesday starting Wednesday March 22nd - May 17th
• Time: 3:30pm -4:30pm
• Where: Gayman Elementary School Pavilion (Rain or SHine)
• Cost: There is a $30.00 fee per child to help defray the cost of t-shirts, incentives, healthy snacks, administrative fees and our Gives Back program.

It’s hard to believe, but the end of the year- and our 6th graders time at Gayman- is upon us. Please see the links below to access two important forms:

• Please use this LINK to upload pictures of your child throughout their elementary years to be included in the slideshow that will play at Promotion.

• Each 6th grader will receive a Tohickon t-shirt (or a t-shirt of the school they will be attending if not Tohickon), thank you GHSA! Please use this LINK to provide us with your child's correct size and middle school.

NOTE: Requests for morning or afternoon kindergarten are determined on a first come - first serve basis. Priority is also given to a request with a documented need by the parents' employers.

The first annual Central Bucks Kids Triathlon will be held on Sunday, May 21st, 2023, at Central Bucks High School South. This event is open to all Central Bucks students in kindergarten through sixth grade.

This is a FUN, all-inclusive, kids-only event where students of all ability levels are encouraged to “TRI” something new and enjoy a GREAT experience with their peers. The triathlon will take place completely on the closed grounds of Central Bucks High School South where students will swim in the pool, ride their bikes in the parking lot, and run on walkways and the track to complete their event. Students from all fifteen elementary schools will be competing in this event, therefore students will be grouped based on their current grade level. All triathlon participants will earn a CB Kids Triathlon T-shirt and HUGE medal for completing the race. Also, awards will be given to the top finishers in each grade level. Come out, HAVE FUN, and enjoy the CB Kids TRIATHLON!

Any Central Bucks family who may need a little extra food assistance is welcome to join us at Barclay Elementary School. Our drive-up food distribution runs from 4:30-5:30PM on the 2nd and 4th THURSDAYS of each month. We generally have free dry goods, fresh produce, milk, eggs, and bread, and often have some frozen meat and poultry.

No advance sign-up is necessary. We kindly ask that you do not line up before 4:30PM, so as not to interfere with our student dismissal, and that you do not block our neighbors' driveway. We hope to see many families at our food distribution.

All of the proceeds from the 5K are used to support the Kind Like Joey Foundation’s mission to honor Joey Edwards by encouraging others to spread random acts of kindness, to offer a college scholarship annually, and to provide financial assistance to families that have suddenly lost a school aged child. This year we are also raising funds to help build “Joey’s Lounge” at CB South, a space dedicated to Joey by the graduating class of 2022. The lounge will be used as a “Lunch + Learn” space where students can connect with peers and staff.
