Mrs. Lingle's ABC Boot Camp!
Mrs.Lingle's class finished Letters Alive: ABC Boot Camp in September! Way to go A to Z champs!
Penn State Healthy Champions!
Northwest received a 5/5 star rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ !
Schools were awarded "stars" based on answers to questions in the following categories: nutrition and physical activity, psychological and social services, school health environment, and health and wellness policy.
Northwest All Stars!
We had 43 positive referrals in August/September! Our students have done a great job being respectful and responsible. For the month of October keep encouraging students to make safe choices!

Biddy and Travel Basketball
Sign ups for girls and boys biddy basketball are now available!
Biddy basketball is available for 1st-6th grade.
Girls travel team is for 5th and 6th; Boys travel team is for 7th grade.

October Important Dates
Wednesday, October 4th: Echo DANCE Team Assembly
This 45 minute assembly showcases high energy choreography, while also conveying a positive message. Respect, responsibility, setting life goals, and overcoming obstacles will be emphasized during the performance
Monday, October 9th: No School
There is no school for Northwest students Monday, October 9th. We will see you all back in class Tuesday, October 10th!
Wednesday, October 11th: Marking Period 1 Ends
On Wednesday, October 11th the 1st marking period of the year will end. Please encourage your students to reach out to their teachers to make sure all work is completed!
Wednesday, October 18th: Family Night Out!
Free Dinner, Mystery, and Transportation! Join us at Lebanon High School for Family Night Out. Solve the Mystery of the Missing Mascot, save Rooty, enjoy dinner, and spend time with your family & our larger Lebanon family! See flyer below for more information.
Friday, October 20th: Picture Day
SMILE😁! Picture day is Friday, October 20th. Information/order forms will be sent home early this month! Have your child dress to impress and smile bright! [Retakes will be ---]
Thursday, October 26th & Friday, October 27th: Camp Read-A-Lot
Grab a good book and read s’more! This year, At-Home Steps for Independent Reading begins Monday, October 23rd. To celebrate this event, students in grades K5-5th grade will participate in Camp Read-A-Lot!
We want to emphasize that not all reading must be done in books. Instead, try seeking out opportunities in your everyday life to find text all around you!
Family Night Out!
Wednesday, October 18th: Mystery of the Missing Mascot
Join us at Lebanon High School for Family Night Out, Wednesday, October 18th 5:00pm - 7:00pm. Solve the Mystery of the Missing Mascot, save Rooty, spend time with your family and our larger Lebanon family! Dinner is served from 5:30pm - 6:00pm. Transportation will be provided for families that request it. Paper sign ups will be sent home or click on the "Family Night Out Sign Up" link below. Sign ups will be accepted through October 6th (not October 2nd😁)!
🏥 October Health Screenings
❤️🩺⚕️October 5th K4 Screenings will take place ⚕️🩺❤️.
❤️🩺⚕️October 24th and October 25th will be our health screenings for all students (vision/hearing/height/weight). Please encourage your students to be here to attend. Student health is vital to student success! ⚕️🩺❤️
🍎Red Ribbon Week🍎
Red Ribbon Week highlights the importance of living a drug-free life.
PowerPacks Sign Ups
PowerPack's mission: We empower families with education and ingredients to create nutritious weekend meals, so their children return to school fed and ready to learn.
PowerPacks can be picked up right here at Northwest every Thursday 3:15 - 3:45pm.

Attendance and SAIPs

If your child misses school please, send a note within 3 school days of the absence.
You can email notes to:

Once your note is received you will be sent an email confirmation.
After 12 tardies (late to school) and/or 3 unexcused absences students will be put on a School Attendance Improvement Plan.
Read With Me Book Sign Up
This year, At-Home Steps for Independent Reading begins Monday, October 23rd. Northwest would love to gift a "Read with Me" book to foster a love of reading between parents/guardians and their children. If you would like a book for your student please fill out the google form below by Friday, October 20th.
