Dear St. Anne Parents,

Plans are now underway for next year's school programs. At this time, all students will be coming back to in-person instruction next year. Distance Learning will not be offered to our students. As much as we have all "loved this experience and had fun," the time has come to change back to all in-person instruction. We are going to be offering our Extended Care Program again to all Kindergarten through eighth grade students. After school programs such as Chinese School, chess, tennis, instrumental music, CYO sports, etc. are expected to be offered once again. As these classes/programs become available, we will be sending home information to you. The Registration form for our Extended Care Program will be included in next week's newsletter for families to fill out.

Tomorrow, The City and County of San Francisco is expected to announce that our county will be in the Yellow Tier. This is wonderful news. We hope that everyone will continue to be vaccinated and continue to take the necessary steps that will ensure everyone's health and safety for today and the coming months!

SURPRISE...I HAVE DECIDED TO OFFER ALL STUDENTS AN ADDITIONAL "FREE DRESS DAY " THIS FRIDAY, MAY 7TH in addition to next Friday's Free Dress for our Walk A Thon! Everyone deserves this small gift! Enjoy!

In-school students in grades K-8 will take home their T-Shirts this week. Distance Learning Students in grades K-5 will have their T-shirts included in their weekly packets which are left in the school's lobby. DL students in grades 6-8 will be given their Walk A Thon T-shirts when they come for the Walk on Friday, May 14. If a parent would like to pick up the shirt earlier so it can be washed, they should email their child's teacher and ask that their child's shirt be left in the school's front lobby.

Please remember in your prayers Eufemia Velicaria Bedania, sister of Tessie Velicaria (Parish Secretary), who passed away April 25th. Please pray for Dorotea Canta, great grandmother to Khyber (2nd) and Cade (1st), who also recently passed away. Let us keep Eufemia and Dorotea and all their entire families in our prayers during this difficult time. As Catholics, we know that Eufemia and Dorotea are now receiving Christ's promise of eternal life in heaven.

May they rest in peace.

Academic Chess will be offering both Zoom and in person chess class/camp this summer starting June 7. Download the brochures for details.

SHC is offering Summer Institute in-person and online from June 14 through July 23. They will be hosting a variety of 3-week, in-person themed workshops and sports camps for students, ages 9-14. Campers will dig their hands into interesting topics not typically offered at their grade level and athletes will strengthen their skills while building lasting friendships. In addition to the in-person courses and camps, they will host week-to-week online courses.

In our diligence working toward a safe environment for our students, the Archdiocese of San Francisco Office of Children and Youth requires that an online training be completed every 3 years. Many of you will receive notification from the Archdiocese that your account is about to expire. 5K WALK-A-THON – FRIDAY, MAY 14TH

May is upon us and that means the Walk-a-thon is near! We have raised just over $41,100! This a huge accomplishment. Thank you to all the families and friends who have contributed to the Walk-a-thon thus far. We are almost there and look forward to a wonderful walk next Friday!

Kudos to Min Min Sun for ordering and sorting through the Walk-a-thon t-shirts that will be coming home this week. See the directions above for picking them up.

A FEW IMPORTANT REMINDERS BEFORE THE EVENT:

- Complete the VIRTUS training and LIVE SCAN fingerprinting no later than Friday, May 7

- Due to COVID-19, chaperones and crossing guards must submit or email proof of vaccination or negative Covid test results (within the last 3-5 days) by May 10th to Mrs. Perez at perez@stanne.com.

- If you haven't already, submit one permission slip to your child’s teacher. This form was due last week.

- Submit corporate match requests ASAP to ensure your employer has time to process and send payment to St. Anne

Fr. Dan is looking for a few volunteers who could help with entering some data into an on-line program. This work might take two hours or so.. This work can be done from home. CURRENT SIXTH GRADE PARENTS, PLEASE NOTE: All incoming 7th graders are required by law to have proof of a whooping cough booster (Tdap) shot on file in our school office BEFORE the first day of school. Avoid delays and start planning early by scheduling an appointment with your child's physician for he/she to be vaccinated.

Despite the present difficult circumstances, we will be having a yearbook as in other years. The content will be a little different than usual with limited activities but it is a year to be remembered. It can be ordered through Beverly Perea for $30. Download the form and send it to school with your child. If you are doing Distance Learning, you can mail it to the school with your check or drop it off on the bookshelf at the top of the stairs at the main entrance to the school.

If you have a child who will be starting Kindergarten next year, please fill out his/her application and send it to Mrs. Finnegan as soon as possible.
