We are READY for 2023
Rattan Elementary has a new incentive for students
Rattan Elementary has a new vending machine. But this is not your normal snack machine, it's full of books and is located right outside the library. John Manganilla, from Atmos Energy worked with Megan Massey, Rattan Counselor, for nine months to provide the book vending machine from Global Vending Group. Manganilla says that Atmos Energy wants to promote child literacy.
Students will be able to earn special tokens to “purchase” a book from the vending machine. Tokens can be earned by showing great character and being a student leader.

January is School Board Appreciation Month
January is School Board Recognition Month, and Anna ISD is celebrating its trustees' dedication and commitment to the district's students, staff, and community.
The theme of this year's School Board Recognition Month is Forward, Together, which highlights the collaboration among school leadership, teachers, and parents on behalf of students.
Our School Board members are selfless volunteers who spend long hours working to ensure all of our students have the opportunity to learn and grow. Thank you, Anna ISD School Board, for all that you do!

"I have been a part of Anna ISD, in various forms, for almost 20 years now. I have witnessed the massive amount of growth that Anna ISD has been through. Throughout all of the changes, Anna ISD has not lost the "family" friendly culture. From being a parent to being an employee/parent, I've always felt like I was part of the Anna ISD family."- Rebecca Aronow, AMS Assistant Principal
