We ask that you use our Valet Drop Off to driving your children to school. Please pull up as far as you can along the yellow curb so that it allows cars behind you to also pull up. Our crosswalks are used to safely cross students and parents, so we ask that you do not block the crosswalk. Middle School parents, our staff parking is reserved only for teachers and staff. You may not drop off students from the staff lot, you must use the valet curb. If you’d like to park, use the lot on Victoria Street.

Our first PTO meeting is Thursday, October 19 at 5:00 pm in the Parent Center. Come help plan fun, family-oriented events and fundraisers for Powell. We will have child care and translation in Spanish. Hope to see you there!

There are many ways to celebrate and honor diversity. Building cultural literacy helps our students become ethical decision makers in our diverse world. Each book in the picture below is a link to video "read alouds" featuring hispanic characters, families and authors. Enjoy, learn and explore the wonderful contributions and experiences of Hispanic culture by reading this stories together with your child! (Click the picture, a google slide will open, then click on the book which takes you to YouTube)

Jackie and Shadow, the Eagles of Big Bear, have visited their nest nearly every day for the last week. Their long summer hiatus around the lake without nest visits lasted almost 2 full months. Check out the live cam and you might hear them "chortling" back and forth to each other. They are stepping up their nest visits and making their nest stronger with each addition.
