Thank you for making our staff appreciation week so special. Your kind gestures and many words of appreciation lifted our spirits and made for an exceptional week at Churchill.

We also appreciate those of you who were able to complete the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Community Engagement Subcommittee survey for families. Your feedback will help us plan next steps as we work to create stronger partnerships and more equitable opportunities for our students.

If you have a rising 4th or 5th grade student, please make sure you complete the student information form to provide us input on class placement. While we are not able to honor specific teacher requests, we do value and consider the information you provide to find just the right placement to ensure a successful school year. This form is due by Friday, May 21st.

End of Year Activities

• Our Bones Store will be opening soon for Trimester 3 purchases. Please encourage your child to finish strong and earn those bones.
• Step-Up Events for rising third graders are happening soon!
• We are planning some fun end-of-year festivities to celebrate all of our students and our PAW winners - stay tuned for more details.

Materials Pick-up/Drop-off

Students will be able to drop-off school issued materials and pick-up items like Bone Store prizes according to the end-of-year schedule below.

• Wednesday, June 2nd: All in-person students will turn in their device, including charger. They will also be sent home with 1) Bone Store prizes and any other personal items 2) Work/assignments to be completed on their own in the afternoon and on the last day of school.
• Thursday, June 3rd: All remote students will attend school remotely from 8:30-11:00. Families may return devices, including charger, between 12:00-3:00pm.
• Friday, June 4th: Families may return devices and other materials between 8:00-3:00pm.

Please have device and any materials being returned prepared according to the directions that will be provided. Plan to park in the Churchill parking lot on Thursday, 6/3 and Friday, 6/4 and progress through stations to complete device and materials drop-off.

Arrival - Please help us have a great start to our day by ensuring you have self certified your child before coming to school. They must be wearing the blue wristband in order to head straight to class. Please see this information for your responsibility in keeping our community safe and healthy.

Dismissal - Please proceed slowly and with caution in pedestrian areas at dismissal. There is a designated length of curb where car riders may be picked up. It is important that all drivers in the first group remain in their car in order to quickly pull away from the pick-up area once your child has buckled in. Please pull all the way forward and do not double park. It is not safe to pick-up your child in an area that requires them to navigate traffic.

We are committed to providing a robust summer learning program that will be responsive to the needs of our students. We are so excited and look forward to seeing many of our Churchill students reconnecting with our staff, navigating the building while following health and safety guidelines, and engaging in in-person learning this summer. If you have questions about summer learning, do not hesitate to reach out to our incredible office team.
