Hello Families,

We have gotten off to a great start to the school year. It is amazing to see all the smiling faces coming through the doors each day. Teachers have been spending the first 2 weeks focusing on building relationships, connecting with students, and reviewing school rules in our Rules Rodeo.

The best way to communicate with your student's teacher is through the Seesaw app. You can message the teacher, receive information, and see some of your child's work. If you have not been able to connect with your teacher, please call the office and we will have your student's teacher send you an invite.

Breakfast doors open daily at 8:00am. Students can enter through the cafeteria doors. We encourage any student who would like to eat breakfast to arrive no later than 8:20 to ensure they make it to class when school starts at 8:35. Any student that enters school after 8:30 receives a sack breakfast to take to their classroom.

To keep our flow of traffic moving smoothly, please stay in your vehicle in the drop-off/pick-up lane and pull all the way forward. If you would like to get out of your vehicle, please park in a parking spot. We encourage all staff to park in the back lot to make room for parents both before and after school.

Student dismissal time is 2:50 each day. Student dismissal locations are as follows:

Kindergarten and Montoya: Dismissed through Kindergarten gate, behind school off of J Street.

1st/4th/5th grade: Dismissed through Cafeteria doors

2nd/3rd grade: Dismissed through front doors by Main Office

This Friday is our first Early Release Day. Dismissal time will be 12:30pm. Students will still receive lunch before dismissal. Please call the office with any questions.

Students came home Monday with a new Maple T-Shirt. The back will have our school theme for this year, We Can Do Hard Things! We strive to work with students to show that even though obstacles through our year can be difficult, we can work together to do hard things! We encourage both staff and students to wear their Maple shirts every Monday.

Please feel free to stop by the front office and come into our Family Center if you need resources for clothing, food, job applications, OHP, etc. If you would like to volunteer, please go to the Springfield website and go to District Forms and scroll to the bottom to find Volunteer Applications.

Please remember to send your student with their charged chromebook every day!

September 30th: First Maple Assembly
