Anderson eNews 3/20/20

Hello Anderson Families,

I want everyone to realize how thankful we are of the parents/guardians of our students. Jumping into eLearning so quickly is a huge task. Dealing with the business of life right now, being "stuck" in our homes, all while helping your children engage and learn each day is a monumental task. You are knocking it out of the park!

We miss our students so much, and when we see the academic work they are accomplishing, the pictures and videos they are posting, and the smiles, it fuels us all to stay positive and focus on what is most important. Parents, keep up the great work. Don't ever hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher if you need anything. We are here to help in any way we can. If we haven't seen or heard from your child, we will be reaching out to you via email and phone call. We are here to help you get them connected.

All families are challenged to enter the Anderson Dance Party. Take a short video of your family dancing and email it to melissa.reed@d303.org by this Sunday Night. Let's have some fun! Teachers, send in videos of you dancing with your families, pets, stuffed animals... We will make a compilation video of the dances and send it out for all of Anderson to see. Please send in your video's by Sunday night! Make sure you stretch out, drink lots of water, and let's see what families will be shown on the "Anderson's Got Talent Dance Party". :)

Have your child color this Anderson Fox and put it in your front window, on a mailbox or anywhere visible. Then take a walk/drive around your neighborhood and hunt for paper Anderson Foxes. See how many you can find! The fox hunt starts on Monday morning and will run through Friday night. Of course, families can leave their foxes up for as long as they like! Have fun as a family while you color and hunt for foxes.

Families: we are here to help!

District 303 has worked with our two school lunch providers to provide free lunches on school days between March 16 and March 27 while the schools are closed.

Lunches will be available for pickup each day at Thompson Middle School, 705 W. Main Street, St. Charles, from 9am to 11am starting on Monday, March 16. There will be two separate areas for pickup at Thompson, one for PreK-grade 8 students and one for high school students.
