From our Physical Education Department
The Physical Education Department will begin fitness testing our 7th grade students within the upcoming weeks. These test scores are recorded to the state of California, but most importantly are used as a tool for us educators to better inform our instruction. Students are being tested on the following areas:
Aerobic Capacity
Abdominal Strength and Endurance
Trunk Extensor Strength and Flexibility
Upper Body Strength and Flexibility
Flexibility
We encourage your students to come hydrated and ready to move everyday, but especially during testing time. We collected baseline fitness scores back in November and are hoping to see students improve on at least two areas of the fitness test. We would love the encouragement from their guardians to try their best!
Listed below you will find helpful resources for parent guardians regarding the Fitnessgram test that are administered to your students.
“A Parent Guide to Understanding the PFT” provides information for parents and can be found on the CDE Parent Guides to Understanding web page at https://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/tg/ca/parentguidetounderstand.asp.

Inspire Diagnostics has updated their schedule. New schedule is linked here.
Persons who are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 may not access any district location for testing.
In order to ensure that FSUSD students are registered with Inspire Diagnostics,
