Wireless Communication Device Info
BPS Policy, School Plan and Contract ~ February 17th, 2023
A Note from the Principal
The use of Wireless Communication Devices on school grounds must be appropriately regulated to protect students, staff and the learning environment. It is important that parents are familiar with this policy (linked here and attached below) in order to support its implementation at school and school sponsored events.
All students with a cell phone or other wireless communication device must have a completed Student/Parent Cell Phone or WCD Contract on file in the front office. Another copy of the WCD Contract is being sent home. A link to the contract is also found below.
Important school based reminders relating to wireless communication devices:
- Cell phones must be powered off and out of sight when on school grounds unless permission is given by the teacher or supervising adult.
- Students who violate the cell phone policy may receive disciplinary action and may lose their cell phone privilege. Parents will be notified if this occurs.
Please take the time to review the linked policy and the Wireless Communication Device Contract (attached below) with your child. Teachers will also review school expectations relating to the policy and contract in the classroom with students.
Thank you for your assistance in helping us ensure your child is in compliance with this policy. We appreciate your continued support.
