DeSTEMber at LES
What can you do at home to support DeSTEMber?
Notice and wonder with your child! One of the most impactful ways you can support STEM education at home, is by noticing natural phenomenon in the world, asking and listening to questions, encourage STEM related discussion and exploration, and look for areas to incorporate STEM into daily routines like cooking and reading. Here are some resources for you!

Family Engagement
Want to engage your child in a fun and academically based activity? Try a scavenger hunt! Educators often use scavenger hunts to review skills, focus attention, foster cooperative learning opportunities, notice and note, observe and wonder, and more. You can use a scavenger hunt at home to do the same. Here are a few fun articles which outline various types of scavenger hunts you can try, but remember, the most important thing about a scavenger hunt is learning and having fun together!
