Students will have the opportunity to shop during class and we will also be open for parents and families before and after school. (Students will only be allowed accompanied by an adult during this time.) We will also be open before movie night on Friday, October 14th for your shopping convenience.
We offer a cash free option called ewallet. Please visit our homepage www.scholastic.com/bf/parkvillage for more details. We’re excited to celebrate our love of books together at the book fair and we cant wait to see you there! Remember every dollar you spend will benefit our school directly. We ALSO need YOUR HELP! Volunteer and help make our book fair a success. Slots are available throughout the day and no experience is necessary. We need baggers, cashiers (linked in the signup genius is a tutorial on how to operate cash register) and to help students and families find books. Check when your students class is visiting and volunteer during their time slot. FREE OR REDUCED-PRICE MEALS APPLICATION
IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT FREE AND REDUCED MEALS
Although school meals are now free to all students under California’s new Universal Meals Program, the application for free and reduced-price meals is still very important. School funding depends in part on the number of students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. With all students now eating for free, fewer families are completing the application and schools are at risk of losing funds. Household income information is confidential and applying online is quick and easy. Plus, students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals may also qualify for discounts on transportation, ESS, SAT and AP tests, home internet, and college application fees. Apply online at MySchoolApps.com, or pick up a paper application in the school office.
DADS Movie Night
DADS Movie Night is Friday, October 14. We'll be showing Rio under the stars on the back playground. Families are invited to begin seating at 6 PM with the movie starting around 7 PM when it's dark. Please watch the weather forecast and dress accordingly and bring jackets or blankets to stay warm. We will be on the blacktop so chairs are recommended. Movie snacks including popcorn, nachos, and cotton candy will be served. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink. Movie Night, including snacks, is free to all Park Village Elementary students and their families. All students should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
If you're interested in volunteering to help to make this an awesome event, whether it's purchasing food prior, set up, or serving snacks, see the sign-up link below or contact the DADS at PVESDADS1@gmail.com. Dads, moms, older siblings, or high school students needing volunteer hours are all welcome.

A message from our school health tech, Ms. Stephanie

LARGE size Cotton balls
Tissue Boxes
SNACK size ziplock bags
Gallon size ziplock bags (For those that go home with wet/soiled clothing)
We appreciate your consideration, and if you have any questions regarding items, please feel free to email me: scahiwat@powayusd.com
