Lost And Found
FROM THE PRINCIPAL...TONY WHITE
This past Tuesday evening, my wife and I were sitting down to one of our appointment viewing TV shows, "This is Us" when we heard the light footsteps of our three-year-old daughter coming down the stairs. "Daddy? Can I sit with you?" I looked at my wife to see if we were going to hold fast to bedtime or have this special time with our daughter where she didn't have her five-year-old sister and baby brother to share the spotlight with. We decided to have this special time with Claire, and settled in for our favorite show (Well...maybe not Claire's, but certainly my wife's and mine.) During the broadcast, there was a commercial for the 10:00 news and they previewed coverage of the tragic shooting in Boulder, Colorado. Without thinking, I said, "What a scary world." "It's a scary world?" Claire asked. "Well...it's not a scary world but sometimes scary things happen in it."
Fast forward to Roger Mercado Appreciation Day. It can't be a scary world when it's full of people like Roger. Every one of us have at least one Roger in our lives - some are blessed with more. You may be someone else's Roger too.
I wish you a Happy Roger Mercado Appreciation Day, Norton Creek, and a wonderful, relaxing, fun, safe spring break too! If you have the time, please, take the 5Essentials Parent Survey. It closes April 2, and the feedback you provide us helps us continue improving the Norton Creek experience for all of our Eagles and families.
Thank You Mr. Mercado!!
