TxSSC Multi-hazard Emergency Operation Plan (EOP) Review (TEC 37.2071)
- The review will include the Basic Plan and the Active Threat Annex, including the Active Shooter Appendix.
- Superintendents will receive an email on September 12, 2022 requesting planning documents.
- October 12 is the deadline to upload the following: Basic Plan, Active Threat Annex, and Active Shooter Appendix

School Safety Training for School Board Trustees
- New School Safety Training for School Board Trustees -Trustees must complete the training every two years by taking the SBOE-approved school safety training, available on TEA Learn at this link. Deadline is September 30, 2022. Questions to schoolgovernance@tea.texas.gov.

- New TEKS for health education and PE can be found in TAC Chapter 115, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Health Education, and TAC Chapter 116, TEKS for Physical Education. For questions related to the TEKS, please contact teks@tea.texas.gov
Parenting and Paternity Awareness (p.a.p.a.)

- Required Title IVA Stakeholders, 2022-2023
- During the design and development of the Title IV, Part A, Subpart 1 program, an LEA or consortium of LEAs must engage in consultation with stakeholders in the area served by the LEA. (ESEA section 4106(c)(1).
- Regardless of allocation amount, LEAs must document inclusion of all Title IV, Part A required stakeholders in the planning process before making LEA program decisions for 2022-2023 on the ESSA Consolidated Application.
