Climate Video Challenge
To create the world we want to live in, we must first imagine a future where people and ecosystems can survive and thrive. California middle and high school students are invited to present a video response to the question: What is your vision for a thriving future? Submission deadline is midnight on March 31st, 2022. For rules, brainstorming prompts, climate change resources, and how to enter, please visit https://coastal.ca.gov/climatechallenge/
Prizes may be offered to the top three submissions. Students may enter as individual or a group of up to five.
2022 NATIONAL YOUTH SCIENCE CAMP APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN
The CDE and the National Youth Science Foundation are excited to announce that applications for the 59th annual National Youth Science Camp (NYSC) are now open. The NYSC will be held virtually from June 27 to July 20, 2022. As part of the program, scientists from across the nation present lectures and science seminars and linger to interact informally with student delegates. Delegates are challenged to explore new areas in the biological and physical sciences, art, and music with resident staff members. The submission deadline for applications is March 31.

Steps to utilize approved Community Partners
One of the wonderful things about Stellar is our Community Partnership program. Please see the steps below, even if you have participated in the past. There are new steps involved.
Step 1. Prior to signing up with any approved Community Partner, please complete the "Stellar Community Partner Agreement" form together with your TOR. This must be done prior to participating in any program.
Step 2. Contact the approved Community Partners and provide signed "Stellar Community Partner Agreement" form.
Step 3. Regularly attend classes, and work with your TOR to document usage on the logs.
Step 4: Please communicate any changes to your TOR.
