We have two fun activities and three live sessions with our programmers. You’ll be using Scratch, a visual programming language, to celebrate Women’s History Month! For the two-part Scratch project you will create a dodge-and-collect game with some “floaty” physics by paying tribute to Ellen Ochoa who was the first Latina woman in space!

Looking for a Good Book to Read?

The Lone Star Reading List encourages reading for pleasure and is aimed at students in grades 6-8. Each year, up to 30 books—exploring a variety of topics, reading tastes, and maturity levels—are chosen by a committee of school and public librarians from across Texas.

The first week of March is known as eBook week. While there are many benefits to reading eBooks, here are our top four! Take this week to borrow discover the joys of digital reading by browsing our digital collection at the San Antonio Public Library!
The goal of the TAYSHAS reading list is to motivate young adults to become lifelong readers and to participate in the community of readers in Texas. Students in grades 9 – 12 are encouraged to read books for pleasure from the list which includes fiction and nonfiction titles.
