First Grade Field Trip to Buttonwood Zoo in New Bedford

All of our first graders travelled to the Buttonwood Zoo this past Friday! This trip "over the bridge” complemented their learning about how "different animals use their body parts and senses in different ways to see, hear, grasp objects, protect themselves, move from place to place, and seek, find, and take in food, water, and air." In addition to observing adaptions and senses with real animals, each class also attended a special session about "Animal Senses" with a zoo educator. We all look forwrd to this trip becoming an HES tradition for our young learners.

Kids Heart Challenge will take place in all Physical Education classes the week of May 20th

Volunteers Needed: MRSD Technology Plan

The MRSD Technology Department will be working on the next iteration of the district's 3-year Technology Plan, and is looking for parents, students, staff, and business/community members to take part in a focus group about technology in our schools. No need to be a tech expert, just have an interest in our schools and how we use technology! Email Joy Jordan if you'd like to be a part of the focus group.
