June 2021 Newsletter
Happy June, Rainiers!
Dear Columbia Crest Rainiers,
As we close out the 2020-2021 school year, it’s critical we stress to our students the importance of a strong finish. In addition, please feel free to discuss your student’s goals for next school year and connect how the finish to this year can lead to a great start for next fall. The choices we make today have a large impact on the options that we have available to us tomorrow.
To wrap up the year, there will be several end of the year events such as our ABC Countdown and 8th Grade Promotion. While this school year has been very untraditional, we appreciate the support and patience of parents as we’ve had to navigate restrive protocols.
Congratulations to students, parents and staff on a successful school year during a pandemic! Looking back on the year we have all had opportunities to grow as individuals and as a community of learners. The 2021-2022 school year has promise to be more aligned with traditional practices and we look forward to having our middle school back full time.
Have a great summer with family and friends.
Respectfully,
Principal Shew

Bee Box Installation
Mr. & Mrs. Lucas installed a bee box to collect a bee swarm to create a hive. We are excited to have this learning experience on our campus.
Swarming is a way for hives to split and make new colonies.
Mrs. Lucas also conducted lessons with our middle school students to teach them the benefits of bees, their life cycle and interesting facts.
