Summer School

AVUHSD will offer General Education Summer School from July 5th to July 26th. Extended School Year for students receiving special education services will be held from June 29th through July 26th.


Summer school applications are available online and can be found on each comprehensive school’s website under Academics - Summer School.


For students attending Desert Winds High School and R. Rex Parris High School, applications can be found under the "STUDENTS" tab.


Please complete your application by the end of May 2021.

AVUHSD District Employees Enjoy a Cup-a-Lope

Students from Antelope Valley High School’s set up a “Cup-a-Lope” Pop Up Shop at the District Office last week. District staff were able to purchase coffee, pastries, and other breakfast items. Thank you to the AV High School for this delicious and joyful start to the day!

Overcoming Obstacles

This past Friday Antelope Valley High School hosted Overcoming Obstacles. More than 400 student-athletes represented all of the District’s 8 comprehensive high schools in track & field events scheduled throughout the day. Overcoming Obstacles is one of the District’s most cherished events. Congratulations to all of our student-athletes!

Free Virtual Workshop for Parent/Caregivers: Decoding the Mental Health Messages of Children and Adolescents.

Antelope Valley Teacher Induction Celebrates Year End Success

The Antelope ValleyTeacher Induction (AVTI) program celebrated the professional growth of the District’s new teachers this week at the 2022 AVTI Colloquium. AVTI supports new teachers in their journey from university preparation to professional practice. New teachers find multiple levels of support from trained mentors, teacher leaders, and site administrators.

Law Dawgs Win AVUHSD/AV Bar Association Mock Trial Competition

Congratulations to the Highland High School Mock Trial Team, known affectionately at Highland as the Law Dawgs! The Law Dawgs took first place in this year's AVUHSD / AV Bar Association Mock Trial Competition!
