Student Services
Attendance
Regular school attendance is essential for a student to make the most of their education—to benefit from teacher-led and school activities, to build each day’s learning on the previous day’s, and to grow as an individual. Absences from class may seriously disrupt a student’s mastery of the instructional materials; therefore, the student and parent should make every effort to avoid unnecessary absences.
Anna ISD Badge Policy
Identification Badges
Anna ISD will implement a new identification badging system for the 2023-2024 school year. ID badges will provide more efficient systems and increased safety as we continue to grow. The new badges will be used for general identification, bus passes, library cards, and access to lunch accounts. For these reasons, ID badges will be a required part of the student dress code to be worn visibly every day.
ID Badge Expectations:
Badges must be worn and visible at all times when on campus.
Students will make every effort to keep the ID badge protected. Badges will be used in subsequent years.
Badges that are intentionally damaged or lost must be replaced at the cost of the student.
Anna ISD will provide each student’s first badge, a lanyard, and a clear protective sleeve. Students will be responsible for replacement costs as follows:
ID Badge: $10
Lanyard: $1
Sleeve: $1

Vape offenses are now mandatory Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP) offenses. In other words, any student caught possessing, using, or delivering a vape device must now be placed into DAEP.

Traffic Safety
We are asking parents and drivers to pay attention to new traffic patterns at AISD campuses and be patient with traffic during the first two weeks of school. Also, remember that state law requires you to stop for red flashing lights on the school buses and no cell phone use in school zones or parking lots.
