We are excited about our upcoming shows, "ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE" featuring your dancers. This is our 30th annual concert and we have some very exciting things planned for you to experience at these performances! The dancers and faculty have worked so hard this year, and the growth has been tremendous. Concert planning and prep is being finalized, and as we have information to share, we will update this newsletter. Below you will find information on Concert Dress Rehearsals, and a few other pieces of information that have been updated. Please visit back often, as we constantly have new information to share!

Please use this link to find all the details about hair, tights, shoes etc for your dancer's costume at the performance. Please email the office if you have any questions! These have been updated recently, so take a look!

2023 COSTUME DETAILS

The day of the show your dancer will arrive, stage ready with their costume on. Please have them wear street shoes, and bring their dance bag with their dance shoes, a water bottle and snack. Dancers will arrive to the Allen Performing Arts Center 30 min. prior to their showtime.

Dancers will be dropped off at the Dancer drop off station as you walk in the Allen Performing Arts Center. KJ faculty will be there to help get your dancer to where they need to be, and show parents the way into the auditorium.

KJ faculty will be excited to receive them, and get them backstage to prepare for their performance.

Over three quarters of tickets are sold out for all of our shows. Please make sure that you visit the Allen Performing Arts Center website to purchase your concert tickets ASAP! Click HERE to be redirected to the Allen PAC website to purchase tickets!

All dancers should have their costumes for each of their dances. If your dancer's costume was at alterations, please check with Ms. Polly at the dancer check in to receive your altered costume.

Saturday, June 3rd-1pm Show will rehearse Tuesday, May 30th.

Saturday, June 3rd-5pm Show will rehearse Wednesday, May 31st.

Sunday, June 4th-1pm Show will rehearse Thursday, June 1st.

Sunday, June 4th- 5pm Show will rehearse Friday, June 2nd.

The annual concert fee is charged in March each year. This $80 fee per dancer is used to pay for the venue, the production company, music, special effects, lighting, the stage, stage curtains, side screen video production work and the list goes on. Accounts will be charged on Monday, March 27th.

Please let us know if you have any questions. The dancers who completed the "Not Performing" form will not be charged. To ensure we have you as "not performing" you can email kjdancebilling@gmail.com.

The order of appearance in the show might change, but the night assignment will not. Many details to follow, but this is the first communication on performance show assignments. Our summer classes each provide a 6 week course of training to begin or enhance your dance journey. Summer classes are the perfect way to stay on top of your dance education. Summer classes begin the week of June 13th and run through July 27th. Classes will not be held on July 4 - 6. Tuition is $180 for all six weeks of the summer class series for Rhythm & Rhyme, Combo and Fusion Classes. Tuition is $360 for all six weeks of the summer class series for EDGE Classes. Online registration begins February 15th. Please inquire at kjdance.office@gmail.com if you have questions on level placement for Summer Classes.

FUSION : A unique blend of Jazz & Hip Hop where dancers focus on technique, style & movement quality. (3 Levels)

RHYTHM & RHYME : Introduction to our youngest dancers to movement & body positions with props and characterization in both Tap & Ballet.

COMBO : Develops & refines fundamental basics in both Ballet and Tap. This dynamic class builds strength and body awareness and is loaded with summer fun.

EDGE : Develops & refines fundamental technique in all subjects for dancers returning to or interested in the EDGE program for the 2023 - 2024 dance season. Dancers enrolling in these summer classes must audition in June 2023 and make the team, or be a returning EDGE dancer from the 2022-2023 dance season.
