Principal Corner
The highlight from this week was College and Career Week!
Each day, students had the opportunity to think about the next steps after high school. They talked to adults about their own college and career experiences, met with college and career recruiters, and were encouraged to start designing their own future plans (even though they will often change!).
We also had opportunities in class for all students to learn about and create resumes, which will help set students up for success no matter what route they pursue after OHS. Make sure to talk to your students about the direction they are looking at, as well as how they need to set their schedule during high school to make sure they can reach that goal!

We will also be offering educational opportunities for parents during this evening - take a look at the paragraph below!
School Is Different Now
We live in a stressful society! Teens are not immune to the impacts of stressful situations. New research reveals how stressors/risk factors affect students' mental health concerns today. These risk factors can impact a child's behavior and mental health at home and in school. Participants will learn how to identify risk factors and ways to support their students despite these factors. A time for questions will be provided at the end. We are all in this together!
