Did you know that you can have your students search for websites that are appropriate for school, educational, and CURATED for student research right in Destiny (our online catalog)? Better yet, each listing found will have a "grade level" indicator that will give you an idea about reading level and complexity...

Just go to Destiny and click on WebPath Express from the Catalog tab on the left - and give your students a better chance to find great information! Reach out with any questions!

We are considering purchasing a resource for you... that can potentially be used by your students as well! Please check it out between now and 12/19, and let me know what you think!

NoodleTools is a robust yet simple tool that the district purchases for students for the purpose of creating citations... I will be teaching students how to use NoodleTools properly in their Digital & Media Literacy class in 6th and 8th grade, but would appreciate it if you could direct your students to do the same (rather than using the built-in Google Doc solution or other citation tools, which do not create MLA citations correctly) during your classroom work. This will give students the ability to consistently create quality citations; even better, they will be ready to use NoodleTools effectively when they get to the high school. (You could say, it is the way.)

Both teachers and students should login via Google SSO. If you'd like a little more info about how to use NoodleTools, just let me know - if enough people are curious, I'm happy to do a little session one day too!

Please ask us if you or one of your students cannot find a book you want, as sections of books at a time are behind the desk for re-labeling and re-cataloging in Destiny...
