Winter Sports Information
On Wednesday, October 25th, during 10th period, we will have our winter sports meetings for 7th and 8th graders interested in trying out or signing up for a winter sport's team. Please refer to the email you received from our athletic department with that information that is copied below for your review:
Registration for winter athletics for students in grades 7-12 is currently open. Please visit boyertownathletics.com or login to your student central/big teams account (if you registered for a fall sport).
- If you registered for a fall sport, please make sure you indicate which winter sport you are participating in and fill out any recertification forms. Parents and students must log into your account and sign/initial the forms.
- Please make sure your student-athlete is enrolled at the proper school (do not list as an additional school) This is located on the “forms” page in your account at the top.
- To check the status of submitted forms, go to the bottom of the forms page
If you did not register for a fall sport, please complete all forms in the registration. Physicals must be dated after 6/1/2023.
A new form has been added to the registration “St. Luke’s Consent to Treat." This form is giving athletic trainers who are employed by St. Luke's the ability to treat your student-athlete. Even if you completed your registration before 10/11/23, please sign back in and complete this form.

Reminder! Drop-Off/Pick-up Directions for Friday, Oct 13, Dance
All students should be dropped off at the back entrance by the gym. However, students will be dismissed out of all three entrances. When picking up students in multiple grade levels, please pick up at the highest grade level location.
8th grade will be picked up in the front loop.
7th grade will be picked up on the side tennis court lot.
6th grade will be picked up in the back by the gym.

Fall Sports Updates
Field Hockey -
8th grade - On 10/6, the 8th grade field hockey team defeated Arcola, 6 to 0. The team worked very hard for this victory. They played a composed, disciplined game and are continuing to improve every game. On 10/10, East's mixed grade level field hockey team defeated visiting Norristown by a 7 to 0 score. East got off to a slow start but was able to gain momentum in a contest that saw all players, both 7th and 8th grade contribute.
7th grade - On 10/6, the 7th grade field hockey team lost to visiting Arcola, 1 to 0. It was a back and forth contest that saw both teams with numerous scoring opportunities in which East wasn't able to find the back of the net.
Football -
8th grade- The Boyertown 8th Grade Football team lost a tough, hard-fought game to the Phoenixville Phantoms yesterday by a score of 20-6. On Offense, Roman Kerkusz threw a touchdown pass to Amari Heslop. Andrew Rizzo, Jackson Koback and Amari Heslop led the team with two receptions apiece. Defensively, Jackson Koback and Riley Comfort registered a tackle for a loss, while Brayden Kauffman recovered a fumble. On Special Teams, Mason Adam-Stout recovered an onside kick from Roman Kerkusz. The team will Upper Perk on the road next Tuesday. Once again, the coaching staff and team would like to thank our fantastic cheerleaders for their awesome cheers and support throughout the game.
7th grade- .On 10/12, the 7th grade football came back from being down 16 to 0 to defeat Perkiomen Valley 26 to 24. Jameel Shabazz and Jackson Rose each had two touchdowns in the victory.
Boys Soccer -
8th grade- On 10/10, lost to Norristown 6 to 1. It was a good effort by East. On 1/12, tied Spring Ford, 0 to 0. East played a competitive game.
7th grade- On 10/10, lost to Spring Ford, 3 to 2. Despite the loss, outstanding effort was given by East.
Girls Soccer -
8th grade- On 10/6, defeated Upper Merion, 6 to 0. Goals were scored by Sam H, Charlotte R, Kylie M, Riley R, and Emily W.
7th grade- On 10/6, defeated Upper Merion, 3 to 0. Goals were scored by Reagan H and Elena C.
