Mrs. K's Counseling Corner

K-6 students are learning about the Toolbox Project and how the 12 tools in our toolbox can help us problem solve, regulate emotions and get along with others on a daily basis. Students that are K-3 will be coloring and decorating their toolboxes, and they will cut each individual tool out as they are introduced. Students that are 4-6 will be making lanyards and adding to them as they learn about each tool.

Responsibility is the act of being dependable and being accountable for your actions and behaviors; doing the right thing at the right time so others can trust and depend on you. This month students will understand how they can show acts of responsibility inside and outside of school. Students will learn how the 12 tools assists them in practicing the character trait, responsibility. Students will identify more than one Toolbox tool that they can use to practice responsibility.
