I hope all of you had a great weekend!

This week we are looking forward to our Spirit Friday. We love celebrating and recognizing our Mighty Mustang Students-of-the-Month during our monthly stampedes!

Last week we had 33 new students start at Meadow Brook. With so many new students, we thought it might be a good time to remind ALL parents picking up their students to go through the North pick-up and drop-off lanes (on the north side of the building). I know it is tempting to use the north east parking lot, but when too many cars use those lanes, cars spill out onto 950 West. We have worked out a smooth system on the north-side of the school making is so that all of our cars are able to pick up their students within 6-7 minutes. If you would like to park to come get your child, please make sure you use the crosswalks so that we can teach our students the importance of crossing in the designated areas.

Last week, you might have noticed new cones that were placed in our South-East pick-up zone. We have had several cars going through this bus lane, which is extremely nerve racking for our bus drivers. These cones have been put out as a reminder to avoid driving through our bus lanes. We care deeply about all 700 of our students and we want to keep them safe! If you would like more detailed information about our plan, click here. As you may have heard, through the end of February, the Utah Department of Health is offering free COVID-19 rapid antigen testing in communities across the state. The next free COVID testing window for members of our communities will be Monday, January 25, and Friday, January 29, from 2:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Nebo School District's testing site will be at the Advanced Learning Center (ALC), located at 161 E. 400 N. in Salem, Utah. The testing will be a mobile site, so individuals will stay in their vehicle to be tested. Please pull to the west side of the block and enter the testing area through the west entry. Signs will be posted to show you how to get to the testing site. In order to receive your test, the state has requested that each person register before being tested. Esta semana esperamos nuestro Viernes Espiritual. ¡Nos encanta celebrar y reconocer a nuestros Mighty Mustang Student-of-the-Month durante nuestras estampidas mensuales!

La semana pasada tuvimos 33 nuevos estudiantes comenzando en Meadow Brook. Con tantos estudiantes nuevos, pensamos que podría ser un buen momento para recordarles a TODOS los padres que recogen a sus estudiantes que pasen por los carriles norte para recoger y dejar a sus estudiantes (en el lado norte del edificio). Sé que es tentador usar el estacionamiento del noreste, pero cuando demasiados autos usan esos carriles, los autos se derraman hacia la 950 West. Hemos elaborado un sistema sin problemas en el lado norte de la escuela para que todos nuestros autos puedan recoger a sus estudiantes en 6-7 minutos. Si desea estacionarse para venir a buscar a su hijo, asegúrese de usar los pasos de peatones para que podamos enseñar a nuestros estudiantes la importancia de cruzar en las áreas designadas.

La semana pasada, es posible que haya notado nuevos conos que se colocaron en nuestra zona de recogida del sureste. Hemos tenido varios autos pasando por este carril de autobuses, lo cual es extremadamente estresante para nuestros conductores de autobuses. Estos conos se han colocado como recordatorio para evitar conducir por nuestros carriles de autobuses. ¡Nos preocupamos profundamente por nuestros 700 estudiantes y queremos mantenerlos a salvo! Como habrá escuchado, hasta fines de febrero, el Departamento de Salud de Utah ofrecerá pruebas rápidas de antígenos COVID-19 en comunidades de todo el estado. El próximo período de prueba de COVID gratuito para los miembros de nuestras comunidades será el lunes 25 de enero y el viernes 29 de enero a partir de las 2:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. El sitio de pruebas del Distrito Escolar Nebo estará en el Centro de Aprendizaje Avanzado (ALC), ubicado en 161 E. 400 N. en Salem, Utah. La prueba será un sitio móvil, por lo que las personas permanecerán en su vehículo para ser probadas. Por favor, diríjase hacia el lado oeste de la cuadra y entre al área de pruebas por la entrada oeste. Se colocarán carteles para mostrarle cómo llegar al lugar de la prueba.
