Welcome Back!!

I hope everyone has had a relaxing and enjoyable summer break. I know that it has gone by really fast and it seems crazy to think we are getting ready to start school in just a few days.

My summer like usual was spent at the ball fields in the heat watching my kids do what they enjoy but I wouldn't change it! I was able to get away for a few days and take a trip to Chicago which was super fun!

I am so excited to see the students on the first day of school and I look forward to hearing about their summer adventures!

Below are a few pictures from my families summer adventures. Feel free to share what you and your family did over the summer!

Students in grades five through eight should now be able to see their class schedules in Skyward. Students will get a printed copy of their schedule as well as their locker and combination at their designated Back to School Night. This also includes fifth grade!

If a student has a question about their schedule or would like to change their schedule, they can message me on Schoology, send me an email or ask me at their Back to School Night. Please note that students are only allowed to change elective classes if there is a discrepancy in what they got enrolled in and what they pre-enrolled in last Spring.

Jefferson West School District will provide Dental Screenings to all students enrolled, unless their parent/guardian has notified the school, to opt their child(ren) out of the dental screening. Please send a signed note or email to Nurse Abby, abby.martin@usd340.org by September 20th, if you want your student opted out of the dental screening.

Volleyball will be 3:30 - 5:30 pm at the Middle School

Cross Country will be 3:30-5:00 pm meet at the High School

Football will be 3:30-6:00 pm at the Football Field.

Reminder we MUST have your physical on file at the school before your child can practice. IF you have not dropped it off it must be brought in by 2pm on Monday the 15th or handed directly to the coach at the start of practice in order for your child to be able to practice.

Fees need to be paid too, this year fees are $45 per sport.

Monday August 15- 5th Grade Orientation at the middle school at 6pm,

This is for ALL 5th graders new and returning.

Monday August 15- 6th-8th grade NEW Student Orientation at 7 pm

Tuesday August 16- 6th grade Orientation for all returning students at 6:30 pm

Back to School Bash at the High School 5-7:30 pm

Wednesday August 17- 7th and 8th Grade Back to School Night for all returning students at 6pm

Thursday August 18- First Day of School

Thursday- Biscuits and gravy- Pizza

Friday- Waffles and Sausage- Corn Dog
