December 3, 2023 - Community Newsletter
Dear Monomoy Middle School Families,
This week we are excited to kick off our Winter club and Winter sport seasons. This season provides opportunities for students to experience camaraderie around shared interests. This winter season we had a record number of student created clubs making the list. From Crochet Club, to Ultimate Frisbee, Creative Writing, and Book Group, these clubs were born out of students who saw an interest, found a staff member to partner with, and put an idea into action. We commend the students for showing leadership, and for being engaged Shark citizens. Here's to a great Winter season!
In Partnership,
Abby Dudley
Principal
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Winter Concert: The MRMS Band & Chorus Winter Concert is Thursday, December 14 at 6:30pm at the High School. Click here to get your tickets. Thank you so much for your support as we look to expand our programming for performing arts students!
Clubs: We will be running all clubs in the first two weeks of the season. Clubs must remain at an enrollment of 8 to continue throughout the season.
Sports Communications: We rely directly on the coaches to communicate with families. Please reach out directly to your student's coach with sports questions, or reach out to Ms. Guillmette at kguillemette@monomoy.edu.
Polished Dental Services (12/14): We will be holding a dental clinic on Thursday December 14, 2023. The clinic will consist of a cleaning and inspection (no x-rays). The clinic is free and students may participate whether or not they receive dental services elsewhere. If you have already registered your student you do not need to do it again.

OLD NEWS AND REMINDERS
School Council: We are recruiting members for our second School Council meeting on 12/4 at 4pm in the MRMS School Library. Pleas email Mrs. Dudley if you are interested in joining us!
Winter Coats: As the weather continues to get cooler, students will still have the option to get fresh air as a part of our lunch routine. If students are choosing to go outside, please help them remember to bring proper gear for the weather. Students MUST bring their outerwear to lunch as they are not able to return to their lockers once lunch has begun.
